Not too old to throw you over my knee young lady. Making fun of old people, does it never end. :rotfl:

Be careful with that ibuprofin stuff. I don't watch Grey's Anatomy, but I did read an episode description about a work out fanatic who popped those & tylenol stuff and it wasn't a pretty picture they painted.

Would you like to borrow my sack of peas?

Heck, I'm probably older than you. I'm 39 but most mornings lately I feel like about 79.:sad2: What can happen if you take too much ibuprofin? Don't scare me with all those serious medical emergencies they have on that show. :rotfl2: Did anyone see the one with the fish that swam upstream into a certain body part?:rolleyes1

Am I the oldest one among us? :hippie:

And do we all now have a healthy stack of frozen peas!?? :rotfl:

My kids are pea fanatics(and broccoli too, the little weirdos:rotfl2: ) so it doesn't last long around here.

I saw that one! When they came up with that 'solution', DH and I just looked at each other! Then he said "I am never stepping in open water again above my knees!" :rotfl:

Oh, gosh, I am so bored tonight that I broke my Advair inhaler open to see what is inside! If push comes to shove, I'll post pictures....I swear I will! :cool2:

I thought I was..I am now 48..last year I was 49 and then I started to go backwards...works for me, until someone gets the truth out of me like you just did..how did you do that?;)

And I may have already posted this earlier...my memory, you know..but nothing says OLD like being "Advanced Maternal Age" (that's medical jargon for an old pregnant woman), 40 years old, seven months pregnant, at your 40th birthday party, SURPRISE birthday party that you told your DH you would KILL him for if he did it, all on videotape with 20 of your closest friends.. I never wiped the smile off my face, but all I wanted to do was go into the bedroom and scream..

I got him back. when my hormones were kicking in about a week after coming home from the hospital with baby...I called him at work and asked him if he noticed that baby had six toes on one of his feet?

I have no idea why I did that, thought it would be very funny..DH just about fainted...dead silence on the other end of the phone..hormones, they're a funny thing, aren't they? I won..;)

How old ARE YOU women, anyway? :rotfl2: Ya'll sound like a bunch of old men complaining about their bursitis acting up(not that I have any idea what bursitis is, it's just what my Granny always complained about).:rotfl: :grouphug: :rotfl: :grouphug: Well, if you're going to insist on everyone airing their health problems, my hip is messed up(how's that for an old lady ailment?:rotfl2: ), my heels are cracking(I definately need advice for THAT problem) and painful and I have what I have lovingly been referring to as "the mange" on my inner arms and am about to scratch the hide right off. I guess it all pales in comparison to what Kellie is going through, but I just need to whine a bit. The hip has been messed up for about 2-3 weeks. It just feels like I've torn something there. I haven't stopped running though so I know it's making it worse but I hate to stop for awhile and lose any progress I've made.:confused3 I've been popping ibuprofin which helps some. As for my heels cracking and bleeding, that's been going on for several years. I've tried every foot cream known to man and nothing helps. And last, but not least, the creeping crud that is driving me insane with it's itching.:headache: I've had it for several months now. I've ruled out allergies to something new so I don't know what the problem is.:confused3 As for going to a DR. I wouldn't know where to start so I'm just suffering not so quietly.:rotfl2:
And how was your day?

As for my age I am 43. You sure can whine to us. This is a great bunch of girls here. They have been great to me and they put up with me:lmao:
I would start with getting you hip looked at. Call your Dr and get in to see for you hip and then tell him by the I have this crud thing going on can you help me.
For your skin if you want try either bag balm or my DD loves Burt Bees cream it is called I think skin repair. The box is a pale purple.

My day was good. I cut coupons and picked around the house. We went over my brothers house to play board games with him and my sister in law and the kids. We had fun. I had to tell my brother that he had to get the sad puppy dog look to go away. He is going on a trip for work to Vegas next week and was saying how he might not go in case I need him. I told him that what I need was a new Harley shirt from Vegas and other gifts so he better go. John will take of me and he will be back soon.

How are you feeling today? How are you doing with the new meds? :goodvibes

I am doing good today thanks. The new meds are okay. Tuff on my stomach. But I am hoping that does not last long. Tuesday I start going to see my primary for the blood work to make sure the levels are okay. Lucky for me they are letting my primary do the blood work so I do not have to go into Boston everyday for the blood test.
How is your knee today? Is the pain getting any better? I hope you are still resting.

Ha! I am older than you. Turning the big 4-0 in August in Walt Disney World. Doesn't get any better than that.

Missed the swimming fish one. :rotfl:

The pain medicine one, the girl was working out like crazy and dieting and would pop lots of over-the-counter pain relief pills. Turns out it caused her bones to be brittle and break, here's a clip from the episode:

"George comes into the OR, where they're now operating on Ruthie's extensive internal bleeding and ulcers. Callie wonders how they didn't catch this, but Bailey points out that since she came in with a shattered ankle, that was their focus. She adds that between the malnutrition and the copious quantities of ibuprofen Ruthie took, she's lucky to be alive. "

Although I am unsure at what point it is too much.

If the cold peas don't work, have you tried the warm patches? The ones that stick where they are supposed to, so you don't have a Maddmoment. Poor Madd. That really had to hurt.

Kellie, I hope the medicine starts being nice to your stomache and I'm glad that they are working.

:rotfl2: Should we change the name of this board!?

Just for the record- I am 43- BUT 43 is the new 33 and take into consideration I do not have kids- so that should knock a few years off my age too:lmao: I AM ALMOST A FETUS:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Marna- I think you need your doc for all of your ailments!:rotfl:

Did you see a dermotologist for your heel and your "mange" (that word just sounds nasty, can we use the word "rash" instead?):crazy2:

My mom had a problem a few years ago with her hands- they would crack and it was very painful- she did go to the dermotologist and he gave her something that did not work- I bought her a tube of tea tree lotion and it helped her more than the meds!

Also- I find my heels get a dry in the summer from wearing flip flips all the time- where, in the winter they are ok b/c I wear socks.

Suz- keep the peas on the knees!

Kellie- sorry about your tummy- did the docs say that is normal for the meds to do that???

AlexWyattMommy- ugh- they fish one- let's just say the guy was swimming naked and the small fish found a very small opening to swim up- and he set up shop there. Let's say he swam.....into the FRONT- NOT the back of the guy.:scared:

My back is doing....ok. The pain is now concentrated in my upper leg and my knee is killing me. My DH took me to the mall last night just to get out and walk around- I feel so much better walking than sitting. It helped me so much!

AND I got a really cool Billabong reversable sweatshirt at Pac Sun!!!:cool1: on sale for 20 BUCKS! Kind of like a 2-fer:thumbsup2 I am going back to the mall ALONE b/c I saw some really cute shorts and little dresses at Pac Sun and American Eagle- the shorts were adorable- they were all little plaid ones- even for DH- they had a lot of shorts for guys that were cool plaid surfer like- he likes that kind of stuff. So I will stock up for him too!

So- look out VISA I am going to the mall in the near future!:cool1:

I think we have a new catch phrase, folks!:rotfl:

Hi Everyone,
We went over my brothers house for the day. I would have thought last nite with us would have been enough. But big brother is worried about me.
I will need to talk to the DR about the new meds. I am now at the point that I can not hold anything down. I am thinking this is not what they wanted.

So have we found the link to the thread that Maggie get booted because of?

As for the catch phase it is funny but l agree I hope we do not have to use it.
I myself do not plan on having a fried twinkie:rotfl: :rotfl2:

DH and I talked today and if there is a little bit of time before my surgery after I meet we meet with them on the third I want to run away for a few days. I think DD needs mommy time. What do you think?

I think mommy probably needs some DD time too!princess:

Hopefully the docs can find some meds that are more gentle on your tummy!

Oh I think that you should definitely take some time to run away, I think it is the best medicine there is. Whenever the pain I am in (which is constant) becomes unbearable, I can count on my daughter to make me feel so much better. do you have any thoughts to where you would like to go?

I agree. You need to be with your DD as much as she needs to be with you.

Ditto on the kinder, more gentler meds for the tummy.

I need to find out first how much time I have before the do they surgery and then see about her classes at college. Then I think I want a couple of days in Disney for me and her. But I need to be able to find a very good deal on the trip. But I have jet blue credits so that would help with flights. I just need to look into hotels.
