Gosh Kellie, I hate to hear about your problem with your meds. Are there others they can try for you? I think a trip to WDW with you and your DD would be a great idea, how will your DH feel about letting you out of his sight for a few days? I'm sure he will understand. You two need this time together, just girls.

Evening ladies They moved the freakin smilies around again so I almost clicked instead of and now is way over to the right and they moved up and and

Good morning FREAPS!!!! I'm not feeling too bad today except ITCHY!!!! My hip isn't hurting much at all in spite of taking DD and DS for a long hike in the snow yesterday. We all needed to get outside for some air. They were driving me nuts all cooped up in the house.

My mange,or rash as Madd would prefer, gets sort of better and then gets worse. I did have something similar when I was pregnant with DD under my armpits and under my b**bs. I went to a dermatologist then and she just wanted to give me steroid cream and didn't even try to figure out what the problem was. I'm one of those people who want to know what actually causes something before deciding on treatment. That's why doctors drive me nuts.

I am working @ my butcher block in my kitchen (b/c my back hurts when I sit) anywho- I have my kitchen window open and..........

There is a stinkin' WOODPECKER pecking away at my Bat House that I have nailed to my tree outside of my window! He is trying to make a hole in it for himself!

HIS INCESSANT PECKING IS DRIVING ME ....BATTY! no pun intended!

anyone know how to scare him so he never comes back- that darn Bat House cost me like 70 bucks! Where are my bats going to live hee hee

I see this thread has exploded in craziness since I have been gone!

Kellie, I am sorry to hear about your stomach reaction. I hate when my stomach is out of whack....dare I say I just enjoy food too much for that to go bad! I was thinking about you this weekend, wondering if you were feeling up to a Disney trip....I think it is a great idea!

Madd, have you gotten a doctor appointment yet? I can't imagine you can go on with that type of pain for too much longer.

We don't have too many trees on our property so I am not familiar with woodpeckers. I have a friend that lives a couple of miles away, in trees, and they drive her nuts all summer with the noise....she hasn't figured out how to get them to go away yet.

Gosh, it is taking so much longer to post....trying to find where the coveted smilies went!

How is everyone else doing? Is the flu and cold season subsiding? It really sounds like we are all so eager for Spring that we are slightly overdoing it....just can't wait to get outside and have some sunshine on our faces!

I am finally in a position that I am not in pain day and night. Yesterday, I may have overdone it just a little. The guys went into town for most of the day and I did some housework....very light housework. I am not a "housework kinda' gal" so that really, really shows how bored I am. I have learned that if I spend too much time on my feet, my knee won't hold me any more....that's an interesting feeling. After dinner last night, I was shaking all over. Another interesting feeling.

This morning, everything feels fine. The knee is still swollen and very tight; I can't bend it very much. I have the follow up appointment tomorrow afternoon and I can't wait. I am wondering if they will be taking the stitches out then. There hasn't been any bleeding since I pulled my springboard act and stood up like I shouldn't have.

Did anyone else see that Target has Ratatouille and Shrek III for $10 each? I see that a trip to Target on the way home from the doctor will be necessary tomorrow.

I saw that too! We already have Shrek III but I am hoping to pick up Rat for Easter Now to just be able to get there w/o the kiddos!

Madd, I love bats too but I also adore my woodpeckers. He's just looking for food but it might disturb the bats if you have any in there hibernating for the winter. Do you have any suet feeders around? If you don't, you need to put up a few and he should leave your bat house alone. HTH. What kind of woodpecker is it? We have downy, hairy and red-bellied ones on our feeders. We do have the big piliated ones but they stay in the woods most of the time.

I thought it was just me; I couldn't find my hippie chick and it really bummed me out! However, being a hippie chick I am pretty much too lazy to go to the second page to find her, so my new fave smilie is . Really not sure how much play this guy will get, but I'm sure with all the 'mange' and "Maddmoments' happening out there, he may become pretty popular.....

I just got home..already had both of those, but picked up Transformers for DS9's b-day in a couple of weeks.


ETA, while I was out, I ran into Walgreens. They have a bunch of those heating thingies that fry twinkies and who whos up by the register..just in case anyone is interested. The people in line must have thought I was crazy when I laughed at them...


I wonder what I just typed. I thought I typed boxfulls, but the filtered "***" it out??? left of the "ful"..what in the world did I type? I changed it to bunch..

OMG, I think I know what I typed...probably the really naughty word spelled phoentically. but it was imbedded in a word..so it still filtered it..

well the John and I just got home from the DRS. I was thinking my stomach was hurting from the new med and causing me to throw everything up but lucky me I have the flu. So they gave me an RX for the flu med and hopefully it works good. I do not think it is a bad case it seems to be just starting. I guess when it rains it pours

Oh, I was going to let you all know that Big Lots had tons of the Nutrisystem packaged foods yesterday really cheap. They weren't in with the food section, though. They were where the vitamins and stuff like that were. Personally, after eating my free stuff they sent, there is no way in heck I would eat any more. But I thought some of you might be interested. I know it's really expensive if you sign up for their delivery.

Kellie- I know this may sound strange- but I guess you can say it is a good thing that your are puking b/c of the flu.....b/c that means your meds are good to go!!!!

And- don't worry about me and the woodpecker- I am a card carrying PETA member and vegetarian- I love animals- That darn little pecker! He pecked a perfect hole in the bat house

I got a pic of the hole ONLY I will post- This is how smart I am (NOT) I want to get a pic of the woodpecker- and I walk RIGHT out the door!! WHAT? Like he was NOT going to hear me a fly away I am such a dope-

Don't woodpeckers only peck where they can find insects? That would mean your Bat house has an infestation of some kind.
