DH and I drove over to Spokane, this past weekend, to take some of our "precious" belongings to The Antiques Roadshow. What a hoot! We had a great time and we found out the things we took with us are only valuable to us!

DH took some old irons he inherited from his parents and I took a Mickey Mouse doll that was one of my toys when I was a baby...hundreds of years ago!

We learned that, from an evaluator's point of view, an item is not really considered to be antique unless is is over 100 years old. DH was told his irons will be worth something in another 30 or 40 years and I was told that my Mickey Mouse toy was a 'second issue' and would never be more than just my baby toy.

That sounds like so much fun! I wish they would come here, I'd love to bring some of my things.

I received the socks today! What a great freebie. I was upset because I stopped into 2 CVS's on my way home and they had nothing left of what I was looking for. I felt sooo much better when I opened up the package and it was socks. I never thought that socks would make me feel happy!

It was really fun! The employees, that travel with the show all the time, were funny and happy to be among all the people. The local volunteers were a little confused and some of them were rattled, I think, as there were sooooo many people there! They held it at the Spokane Convention Center and it went from 8am to 5pm....all day long, streaming people with valuables. The best part was to see all of the precious antiques people brought with them. Some of the most unique things we have ever seen!

Today was my best freap day ever!
I received Dove deoderant, reynold's parchment paper, ziploc zip n' seal, tide sample that included downy, and a bounce sheet. Thanks to all how post your work is appreciated.

I just used the Starbucks coupon about 4 hours ago with no problems! In fact, it was just Wes and I shopping, and I hated to waste a free drink, so I "bought" a drink for the lady in line behind me! She was really shocked, and it gave me a nice warm fuzzy!

I STILL have NOT received my free Hane's from Wal-Mart!!

Someone ( I think Tnkr) asked what we do with our freebies, how long we could go without buying shampoo and such? I haven't bought deodorant for myself for at least 18 months, if not longer then that
I'm partial about my shampoo so even though I get the samples and try them I spread them out with my 'normal' shampoo usage too.

I have a friend who's son is in Iraq, I'm going to fix up a box with razors, deodorant, skin care samples, etc. in it for him and for him to share with others in his unit.

I watched the Meerkat Manor preview and I was hoping it was going to be longer like the first one they sent out. It was more like a long commercial. I love that show but DH hates it! I am looking forward to Friday when the new show comes out.

You are so right! It's one of the only boards where everyone is always nice to each other and everyone is welcome to say their peace.

Oh my gosh freaps! Wes has some kind of crazy fever thing, and woke up a midnight last night, and has been up ever since!! EEEEEKKKKK! I am so tired, but when I put him in his crib he just cries and cries, but doesn't fall asleep!! I think the only thing to keep me awake at this point is some FREE Starbucks, and some freaping! haha!

There were times with my three that I'd sleep sitting in a chair with them, just to get a quick nap, while they slept on me, that was the only way they'd sleep.

I got my Mike and Ike's in the mail yesterday!! I was so excited! It was my first freebie in a while. I normally get into the Freebie thread and keep on it for a few days, then give up because it takes so long for my samples to get here

I've been doing it for three weeks now, so I'm hoping the freebies will start rolling in! It's helping curb my shopping itch too, which is always good.

The Mike & Ikes were really good- they were the Tangy Twister kind and was even a full bag, which I wasn't expecting.

Jennifer- after you mentioned it, I checked, and I think he may be getting in a molar! I didn't even think about that! So, I gave him a few teething tablets, and he seems much happier!

Teething can be so difficult....sometimes there isn't much you can do to help, I recall. But, if you can get him to sleep at night through it all, you have done a good job!

Ugh, I remember the molars! With my baby (he's 3 now) that was the WORST time, other then then the first FOUR which all popped in within 24 hours while we had to attend hubby's best friends wedding!!

I'm glad he seems to be getting some relief, Cassie!
