DH and I drove over to Spokane, this past weekend, to take some of our "precious" belongings to The Antiques Roadshow. What a hoot! We had a great time and we found out the things we took with us are only valuable to us!![]()
DH took some old irons he inherited from his parents and I took a Mickey Mouse doll that was one of my toys when I was a baby...hundreds of years ago!![]()
We learned that, from an evaluator's point of view, an item is not really considered to be antique unless is is over 100 years old. DH was told his irons will be worth something in another 30 or 40 years and I was told that my Mickey Mouse toy was a 'second issue' and would never be more than just my baby toy.![]()

That sounds like so much fun! I wish they would come here, I'd love to bring some of my things.
What a great freebie. I was upset because I stopped into 2 CVS's on my way home and they had nothing left of what I was looking for.
I felt sooo much better when I opened up the package and it was socks. I never thought that socks would make me feel happy!
The best part was to see all of the precious antiques people brought with them. Some of the most unique things we have ever seen!

But, if you can get him to sleep at night through it all, you have done a good job!
