FREAKING OUT - adult tooth coming in at the wrong place!! UPDATE

I have a 26 yo DS STILL with teeth issues! He's the one who the oral surgeon had to pull most of his baby teeth as the roots never dissolved. He had only 3 of his wisdom teeth removed at 17 because the 4th one was wayyyy up in his gums. Well, now, that stupid wisdom tooth has erupted - right in the roof of his mouth beside his last molar! That freaked me out so he's going to the oral surgeon next week to get it checked out. I volunteered to pay 1/2 of the bill for the removal as he doesn't have dental insurance at his job and can't afford a $500 or whatever dental bill. But, for me, after spending thousands in ortho for him when he was younger, there's no way that tooth is going to ruin the beautiful smile he has now!

My DD15 was 12 when she had her 12 year old molar grow in sideways after she got her braces off. If we left the tooth in, it would have caused cavities on the tooth in front of it as there was no room at all plus the tooth would have ruined all the work we did on her mouth. We had to go to an oral surgeon 1 1/2 hours away to have it taken out - they put DD in hospital, knocked her out and took that tooth and her two bottom wisdom teeth. The other 2 up top are still there because they were too far up to take out - she will probably need them out at some point. Some how my health insurance and dental paid the hospital out patient surgery so all I had was my co-pay of $100 which was nice.

I was supposed to have surgery on a wisdom tooth today. For years I could feel part of it sticking out but I thought it was just growing. Well it turns out that the tooth is out but is completely sideways, half of it still hidden by my gums. The doctor called us new years eve and said he couldn't do the surgery today after all. Looks like I'll have to wait another while!

My DD5 lost her tooth NEXT to her top middle tooth over the summer. They said it would be awhile before it came in, probably a couple of years. Anyway, she's lost a total of 4 teeth, the one on top and 3 on the bottom. Her top middle teeth are a little loose.

The one next to the empty spot is the most loose (not loose enough to pull out) and instead of getting super loose it's slowly starting to stick out further and further. It's being pushed forward.

She had a tooth start to come in, in the empty space next to it. We assumed it was that tooth. It's not, it's her middle tooth!!! Now it's coming in off to the side and I am absolutely freaking out!!! I'm going to call the dentist on Monday but obviously, no matter what, the tooth is coming in wrong.

I'm so upset. Anyone else ever have this happen? :sad1:

Same thing happened to me. I ended up starting orthodontic care at the age of 9 and had 13 teeth pulled due to overcrowding. Also had braces, retainers, headgear.... you name it, it was in my mouth between the ages of 9 and 16.

Glad it could be fixed! :)
