Freaken Fat!!!!

=] I know. I look at the back of the bottle and I think...Well it was no sugar, and no calories, and I AM watering it down with all this yummy crushed ice...so it can't be bad for me.

xD I don't know if Diet Dr Pepper is bad for me or not, but I'm too addicted to stop drinking it.

Diet Dr Pepper is the only diet pop I'll drink. I think every other diet pop is yucky. :crazy2:

I cut out pop over two and a half years ago. I used to drink root beer like it was my oxygen, but I was surprised how easy it was to cut it out. I can have very good self control when I really want to. Diet pop is pretty bad for you actually, because if you drink too much then you can get aspartame poisoning, which is no fun at ALL. But as long as you're not drinking it excessively you shouldn't have much to worry about.

As for feeling like you're the fattest person in the world... I do that quite a lot. I hate mirrors and windows, and pretty much anything else that I can see my reflection in. I hate the way that my body is so unproportioned. And I hate the number that comes up when I step on the scales. I have a love-hate relationship with food that goes all the way back to when I was 6 years old. And I have never in my life maintained a proper balanced diet for more than two weeks. Food is a huge part of my life because weather I am eating, or I'm refusing to eat, I'm always obsessing over it.

Cali Girl 2011:hippie:

definately, i've felt the same way! I'm sure that you're gorgeous the way you are but here are some tips! Here's what I do... I try to have vegetables or fruit with every meal, eat whole grains, drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day, and then I have a workout routine.

First I stretch.
I then do 130 crunches, ( 10 with both legs down, 10 with one leg up and one down, 10 with the other up and the other down, 10 with both legs up, 10 crossed one way, 10 un-crossed, 10 crossed the other way, another 10 un-crossed, 10 both legs down, 10 both legs to the side, 10 both legs in the middle, and another 10 to the other side, and finally 10 in the middle again). I then do 3 sets of 10 squats and over the course of a few days I work up to fifty. I do this twice a day. Listening to music sometimes helps to not focus on what you're feeling, as far as good pain.

You all r so awsome!!!!!!

I do watch what I eat and I do workout with Turbo Jam! But It Gets old so Ya !!!!!!!

this may seem like a really stupid question, but;;

Do you know those things that are like powder, and you put them in water bottles and shake them?? they have like crystal light ones and stuff? well are those healthy?

I'm just letting you know, doing a whole bunch of crunches in a row won't do anything.
You've got to pace yourself and take breaks.

Yes, I feel like I'm a little chubby, but I don't make it my life.

I've cut out pop, completely since April and haven't noticed much of a difference. But it will come.
I need to find exercises that work for me.

Cut down on junk food. Doesn't mean don't eat any, it means eat LESS.
That's a start.
Then cut down on stuff that is high in sugar.
Eat more fruit.
Hungry? Grab an apple.
Don't overeat.
Only eat when you're hungry.
Stop eating when the hunger sensation goes away.

Run. Running is easy to do as long as your "side-tracked".
Bring along an iPod or MP3 to listen to.

I've lost two pounds in a week by doing that.
It takes a while but it works.

And you can't expect yourself to stay thin if you end up losing weight.
You have to keep to a healthy schedule.

I don't keep track of my weight. It's a family rule that there are no scales in the house. I get my weight taken twice a year. Once at my annual doctor's physical and once for the start of school athletics (I don't know why they do that, but they do).

Over the past year, I lost 2 inches from my waistline, but gained 10 pounds. I took off my fat and put muscle in it's place. Remember that, muscle weighs more than fat does, so even if you weigh a lot, it may not be fat.

Right now I'm putting myself through a torture session three times a week for an hour and a half with the school athletic trainer. We do cardio, agility, weights, everything. I'm sore right now, but that means that what we're doing is working. It's a build up of lactic acid. That's a good thing, means that your body's working overtime. Don't be afraid of the pain after an exercise, it's a good thing. Unless it's excessive. If you can't bear to move, something's up.

I have cut out soda (except for the occasional glass with lunch at a restaurant), I started eating more salads and fruit and less chips and popcorn. Fruit Leather is amazing stuff and so are Luna Bars. You should check them out.

I can't run due to bad genetics (I have plantar faciitis. It's not pretty). Running is super painful, so I bike for 20-30 minutes instead. Don't work out every single day, or if you do, do a different body part. If you keep working the same part of your body you won't give it time to heal and recover and you'll start going backwards instead of forwards. Do your legs one day, your core (abs and obliques) the next, take a break on the third day, on the fourth do your arms, and on the fifth day do a cardio work out, then take a two day break (works best when those two days are the weekend, because then you're free to hang with your friends) and repeat the cycle. This works amazingly well. Make sure to warm up well before exercising. Stretch each body part (regardless of whether it's the one you're working on that day or not) for at least 30 seconds to get a good stretch out of it.

You don't need a lot of equipment, either. An exercise ball, a chair, and a set of 5 or 10 pound hand weights is all you really need. You can do crunches on a mat or even just on your floor- push ups, too. The exercise ball also works well for crunches, pro presses (weight workout), and for walk-outs (an upper body workout). A chair works for step-ups (your legs) and for weights. It's super simple.

Sorry for the super long post!

Eat less and go for a run every night or morning. I've been doing that for a while and it's worked. I may not have lost a noticable amount of weight, but I feel so much better about myself (which was my goal in the first place). And that's what counts. Because if you have high self-esteem but are a little chunky, other's will still think highly of you. But if you are super thin and have low self-esteem, people won't think highly of you.

Oh. Trust me, all the time.
I hear EVERY day from my parents that I need to get out and excercise. Like, just 10 minutes ago I was called down stairs for a meeting about how I'm going to "get fit". I mean, yes, maybe I do need to start excercising, but, I don't want to hear that from my parents every ten seconds. And I've tried to eat healthier and I've tried excercising, but, I just don't have the will power. I can't seem eat right or get fit. It's just to hard...

I'm not on a quest to lose weight, but I am on an exercise program to make my arms and legs stronger for tennis.
