France, Canada lunch or dinner?

I've read a lot of dissappointed threads with regards to Le Cellier and now I am considering changing our ressie to Chef's de France. Anyone want to weigh in on what they prefer? I am debating on lunch or dinner for Chef's; they have a better kids' option for lunch.

As a side note we ate at Le Cellier last trip and loved it! Not sure where they are going wrong these days

We prefer lunch at France. The 3 course meal, onion soup, quiche, dessert is great and a good deal. We were not as impressed with our dinner experience there.
I don't know why everyone is so down on LeCellier. We ate there in December and it was GREAT. The filet has ALWAYS been good there every time we have had it for lunch or dinner.

Thanks Al Minnie! I am leaning torwards lunch at Chef's, it will be something different for us. I am having the shakes trying to cancel my Le Cellier ressie-how could I possibly go without cheese soup and steak!

It has been a year since we last ate at Le Cellier, but when we went it was absolutely fantastic. It instantly became my favorite restaurant at Epcot. What things have you read about the Le Cellier? All I hear is people raving about how incredible it is. France is wonderful too though, but Le Cellier stole my heart It's almost impossible to get a res, we have a lunch booked for our vacation next month, Dinner was unavailable and we logged on as soon as we were able to make the arrangements. Unbelievable! I hope you have fun!

Actually, we're thinking of canceling our Le Cellier dinner ADR for next month too. The latest posts haven't been too encouraging and having dinner at Epcot that night will make it harder for us to get over to the MK for the parade and Wishes. I just checked and Kona is available for the same night at a perfect time.

I guess it is the overall quality that has gone downhill, according to other posters that have been recently, experiences have been rocky at best. I know they are going through changes, my theory is maybe things will get better later on? I just don't want to risk it-ds is having a special bday this trip!. I have never been to Chef's but willing to give it a try, who can resist Remy?

We had dinner and lunch at Le Cellier in December and both meals were great. We did not notice any degradation in quality.

Personally, I like Le Cellier's lunch better than Les Chefs, but that's primarily because the lunch menu at Les Chefs seemed awfully cheese heavy to me (which is funny because I love the cheese soup at LC). A member of my group had the Le Cellier hamburger and said was the best hamburger she's had. That being said, no one knows if the menu will change when Le Cellier switches to a dinner time Signature restaurant (there is speculation that the lunch menu will also change). So keep that in mind as you make you choice because something you want that's on the menu now, might not be there if you're going after March 1. (Though, I think the cheese soup will still be on the menu.)

For Les Chefs, we liked doing the prix fixe menu, but we try to aim for the first dinner seating (still get to see Remy and get the dinner menu - best of both worlds). We liked the braised beef short rib entree (very yummy) and the profiteroles (chocolate and ice cream!).

I think my older ds and dd, would love dinner, but my youngest ds will not go for fish and that is all that is offered on the kids menu. Looks like lunch! Now I just need the courage to cancel a Le Cellier ressie Boy do I love the pretzle bread and soup

We ate at Le Cellier last weekend for lunch and it was delicious! My parents got the NY Strip Steak and the Filet Mignon, while I did the 3 course meal with the Cheddar cheese soup and the Le Cellier burger. It was delicious, honestly it was the best meal we had all week (well okay maybe tied with CRT!). The service was great, not rushed, but not slow either.

The menu is definietly meat heavy though, so if you're not into that it's probably not the right place for you.

I agree on the Steak! Now I am back to my dilemma! Our last trip we had dinner at Le Cellier and it was fabulous, we had the first dinner ressie and the staff sang the Canadian National Anthem in english and french. It was such a great time. I wish I could make up my mind

The last time I ate at Le Cellier was a few years ago, so I can't really comment too much about the food. But I distinctly remember loving my meal That being said, I ate at Les Chefs in December and LOVED it! The french onion soup and the profiteroles were so so yummy! The macaroni was good, just not really my taste. I actually took it back to the room with me that night and it was pretty good as a cold midnight snack So there's my two cents on the matter, if it helps
