FPs in MDE app are incorrect

Same sort of thing happened to me when I made a reservation for an HEA dessert party. At the last screen, it said that it couldn't process the request and to try again. I did, and it went through. But the MDE phone app showed two of them. I was concerned because that's an event that gets paid for up front, and I didn't want to be double billed. I called, and the CM assured me that only one had actually gone through and been charged. She said that the phone app is known for hanging on to "ghost" reservations and FP+ that have been cancelled or changed. Even tthough they know about it, apparently they still can't fix it.

I too would be afraid that it double billed. Crazy!
 
I really cannot understand why Disney cant get their website and apps running better it baffles me that a multi million dollar international company can have such crappy systems and not care..
 
For our past trip, my youngest’s ticket never even showed up on the app or website under tickets, however I had the email showing I linked it to him and it let me make FPs for him. So I just rolled with it. This upcoming trip, I changed an ADR from 5 to 7 people and the app still had it at 5 last time I checked. Disney IT!

I just deleted the app and reinstalled it. It worked for me! Thanks!

Think Disney has made it pretty clear in recent years, their focus is on making money.. they do that by cutting cost wherever they can. Pretty big blow up about outsourcing their IT, and this is the result.

But in their defense, in their bid to monopolize guest free dollars, they have instituted a lot of 'cutting edge' technology to track and keep guest in the 'bubble', as well as provide some conveniences. It IS a LOT of data being shuffled around every second, and most of the time it goes fairly well. Recent issues have shown they have too many eggs in one basket though.

3 more weeks...hopefully all this get's ironed out.
 
I have been having the same problems for months. I have learned that uninstalling and then reinstalling the MDE app provides a temporary fix but I mostly use MDE in a browser when I am in the parks. We have had FPs convert to anytime FPs due to ride closures and these rarely show up in the MDE app. Clearing the cache is essential with the browser and even then I routinely have trouble logging in or I get the dreaded Olaf picture. Booking hotel reservations using the AP discount is also difficult. It is really frustrating that Disney forces us to use this technology and then provide such a lousy product...

I remember that whole outsourcing the IT it was right after I stopped working for Disney in 2014 I think? I remember the Florida senator was suppose to investigate it or something
