Is there a thread that contains detailed information about FPs for parades, fireworks shows, and anything else that that offers premium seating. I'd like to find out more information about what they actually offer. I can't see using a FP for things I have previously seen unless the vantage point makes it well worth it.

mesaboy2's FP+ thread has some information about the reserved viewing area for the various parades and fireworks.

I don't think it's necessary to have a FP to see most of the shows, but I have to admit that I really liked the Wishes viewing area. It was nice to be able to sit down and watch the show, without having to get there hours ahead of time.

Honestly from looking at the pics I don't see how that view was any better than our viewing area right outside the CP (which was pretty much straight on with the caste). My pics came out fantastic with the DSLR. There must be another reason for the Wishes FP that I'm not quite understanding.

I don't think that the viewing area is meant to have the "best" view possible of the show. As you noted, it is off to the side, though still with a very good view. I think the main draw of the FP+ is that you don't have to wait for hours to get a great viewing spot for everyone in your family. I haven't watched from Crystal Palace, but whenever I've been on Main Street there is always the risk that someone taller than you will block your view or the view of your children. The FP+ area is seated only, so everyone can see the show, regardless of how tall you are. Also you don't have to get there hours ahead of time to get a good spot, so there is also that. So, yes, you can get a a view that is just as good or better elsewhere, but having a FP+ means you know you'll get a good spot.

Thanks! That paints a clearer picture for me. Given that this is a seating only section I imagine that this FP is one of those that need to be booked when your 60 day window opens. No change of getting a FP on the day of your visit I would imagine.

Very small indeed.

I agree with mesaboy2 - I didn't see any Wishes FP+ available day during my October trip.

Personally I think the value of using FP+ for fireworks and parades really comes down to crowd levels and how important certain locations (around the hub or near the castle) are to your enjoyment of those events. Even during 7+ crowd days we were able to walk up to a spot less then one hour before one in a suitable location with no issues about pushing, late additions moving in, or loss of view. But I understand some people need to be in the hub only and would be unwilling to wait for a few hours on busy crowd days to secure that place and thus see value in using FP+.
