Where is the thread about working around the FP+ system and getting more FP's in a day than 3? Kennythepirate seemed to crack the code and has posted instructions on his website, is there a thread here about it?

Too many MB/FP+ threads with dozens of pages and I don't see it.

Just read his blog this morning and was like "Wow...wonder what the DISers are saying about this". I haven't seen a thread yet tho.

Thanks for pointing it out, I just went and read it.

I suspected something like that would work when I was at the parks but didn't have the time and patience to experiment with it like Kenny did.

Better get that popcorn smilie ready, this is gonna cause some fireworks here.

Kenny is awesome to try and test things like this. So much for KTTW getting FP-, just use one FP+ time to get 20 FP+ times. Lol

It's definitely possible, I was able to dbl book FP+ for PP yesterday ;)

FWIW, I wouldn't screw around with it too much, as you stand a chance of messing up your FP+ for the day. On the 1st FP+ ride we went on this week 2 people in our group only scanned their bands at the 1st FP+ terminal and not the 2nd one. I wasn't able to do anything with their FP+ for the rest of the day because it said they still had one "in progress" or something similar.

I had heard you could get another FP+ once you used one.

This is interesting. Sadly I don't have a smart phone, but the idea is cool. I'm sure Disney will modify this, but till then.....

Just read his blog. Pretty awesome for Kenny to share that. Since it will be our first time using FP+ starting tomorrow, I doubt that I'll feel confident enough to try, but I'll definitely keep it in the back of my mind just in case.

Nope, Kenny's method has nothing to do with that rumored "you can get another after you use one" idea, that rumor has still never come to pass. Kenny's method is working the system.

I have those same thoughts about not being confident. Especially since my FP+ are scheduled for the afternoon in the park I'm hopping to. I have one day that I start at Epcot and have FP+ for later in the day before I leave. Maybe I'll try it for that day. But I can't figure out in my head how this can work to ride same ride twice. Haven't had coffee yet and haven't thought about it long enough. =)

Eh, you aren't missing much. The mobile app sucks bad. I'm pretty sure most of the issues aren't with FP+ as much as with the mobile app.

This is gonna get ugly.

But in the meantime, Kenny is my hero. :cheer2:

Maybe, whatever, complainers are gonna complain...

FWIW, I was able to do it just by trying to use the mobile app while in the park. I never even read Kenny's blog, still haven't. It's just that the mobile app is so bad, there's no telling what will happen.... I predict many tales from people who were just trying to reschedule something and wham suddenly you have all kinds of unexpected consequences, extra FP+'s etc.

Wow, just wow. I admire Kenny for figuring this out but I can't believe that Disney's programming is so weak. I shouldn't be surprised but still.

I don't think it will be that easy. This is basically exploiting the time delay (between a guest redeeming a FP+ in the park and MDE seeing the transaction) to change the FP+ appointment before MDE records it as redeemed. They might have to put a delay of a minute or so into the system after a change request before approving it to defeat this, and that's going to make a bad application seem even worse.

It's not just the mobile app, the experience is just as bad from a PC.

Wow... seems like a lot of hassle! But.... at least for once Disney's somewhat incompetent IT people screw up in our favor. Don't know if it will be something that is still available when we go in the Spring or if it will be something I will have the energy to do.. but it sure is interesting!

Seems odd but intriguing. I'm gonna try it tomorrow since MK is open 8am to 1am. LOL. If it doesn't work, no big deal.

Wow. How did he figure this out? Doubt this will still be around in spring, but who knows? Unfortunately, I have a Windows phone, so I'll have to borrow a Droid from another family member.

Cool that Kenny figured it out!! And, he nicely waited until after it was announced that two VPs In IT were "laid off"/fired - which was recently reported in the Orlando Sentinel!

My first thought was, wow Disney is going to try to fix this quick. But then I realized they probably think the vast majority aren't reading blogs and posts and will not know any different (like the testing at POP). I thought the old room only KTTW card loophole was going to be fixed quickly but it is still exists and this loophole would seem even harder to fix.

Only downside might be during peak park times. You are only guaranteed the first FP headliner (guess you could schedule the last 2 FP+ at the end of the day for headliners too). Once the first one is changed, there might not be any FP+ available right away for rides around where you are in the park.

Zowie.

Just sorry I didn't know about this a week ago.... ;)

My congrats to Kenny the Pirate.
