FP+ with Multiple Familes

So I've been nominated the FP Princess for our upcoming family trip! Yay!

I apologize if this is somewhere else, and perhaps just the arrow pointed for me, so thank you in advance.

We have a party of 13, divided over four reservations. Am I able to reserve all of our FPs at one time, or will I need to use each reservation's MDE login to reserve them separately?

Either way, I'll be up waiting for Midnight so we can meet Anna and Elsa!

You need to link all of the MDE accounts together by way of the Family & Friends list. Once everyone is connected, any one with their own MDE account can make plans for everyone.

Disney has made adding other people to your Family & Friends list even easier as you can enter their resort confirmation number and last name and it will list all those on that reservation for you to select. The invite(s) will be sent to the appropriate individual based on who has their own MDE accounts and those people that are managed profiles.

In the image below, Alice has her own MDE account and manages the profiles for all of the other room occupants. She would receive and have to approve all invites to add them to the Family & Friends list.

Keep us posted on how the FastPass selections went. I am still 143 days out so I cannot make selections yet anyways but with that many people, I want it to go as smoothly as possible.

Sending you lots of pixie dust. I was in charge of 10 FP+ divided between me, DH, DD23, her boyfriend, my sister and her husband, her DD24, another DD30 with her husband and their DS2. Now my sister and her family have only been a couple of times and the DD with son all said for me to make FP+ and they were okay with anything. Well they were great and they were okay but my experience, to me, is an example where FP+ really fails. First you can make all the FP+ 6 months in advance for a 2 year old but the truth is he was so excited his schedule was out of whack and he was great but when he got tired he went to sleep. My sister got a really bad heat rash on her legs that when goggled is also called the "Disney Rash" so some days she didn't make it to the parks. My schedule was RD then back to hotel for afternoon break, except AK day, then back in the evenings. Well rescheduling FP+ for major attractions did not work for us nor getting the 4th FP+ for rides like TT and RnRC. We had a great time, we were in Disney with family that we don't always get to see and like I said they were very appreciated for my work but I don't see how parents with small children know what their schedule will be or if someone has a sick day things change but major FP+ don't.

OH MY GOSH DisMom, get on the train to FPville NOW. I started investigating how our accounts were linked and after a two hour call to Disney Internet Help, finally got it all straightened out. The woman who helped me was AMAZING and its positively the best and most helpful Disney phone call I've ever made. I asked her how we could have avoided the snafu in the first place; and what she reccomended was having one person create their account, ensure their room reservations are set; then let a second person do the same. Link those two people FIRST, then add in rooms/people one at a time, ensuring that they link to everyone else before moving on to the next person.

She was able to fix everything we had messed up, but if we turned back time, it could have been a lot easier. The key people were my MIL who has the memory maker and myself who had dining and FP plans. So long as we saw everyone, it goes alright.

She also suggested that when you make FP plans, make the most important ones first for everyone, then adjust from there. So I'll do FP for Anna and Elsa and the Mine Train, then once I have guarantees for all 13, I'll tell them that five don't want A+E, then make a plan for them.

I'll let you know how smoothly it actually goes! Hopefully I can be an easy example!

Thanks for the pixie dust! I'm only making FP for the first couple of days. I think 13 people is too many to make have the same schedule with ages from 4-60. We're all too aware that the priorities can and will shift! One toddler, four young kids, two birthdays, three first visits, and my first time back since being a CM seven years ago - we'll be all over the place!

Just my personal thoughts. We've traveled with family groups, and they consisted of all ages and interests. It was near-impossible to keep the group together on a park plan that one person put together. The interest of everybody just isn't there. I think we lasted until after lunch, then we separated into smaller groups with different interests - like lots of fantasyland for young kinds, the mountains for teens, general roaming by senior members. It might be better to plan for one or two FP rides only, per day. And with separate plans, I can imagine different groups eating at different locations instead of trekking a long way to meet others for lunch.
