FP+ will NOT work with MNNSHP Tickets

I recently purchased MNSSHP tickets for this September and the castmember informed me that FP+ will NOT work between 4 PM and 7 PM if you are entering the Magic Kingdom using a MNSSHP ticket/or linked MNSSHP ticket on your Magic Band. She said that you would be able to schedule FP+s prior to the party however the system will recognize that you entered with a party ticket and the FP+ would not be eligible. This is a departure from last year.

I was also able to confirm that you may now link you MNSSHP tickets to your MyDisneyExperience account and enter the party using your Magic Band. However, you will need to enter at a designated party entrance, not the main entrance to ensure that your party ticket is properly recognized.

This would also be true for MVMCP.

Usual Disclosures: This information was provided to me on 5/5/14 and as always is subject to change based on how the mouse is feeling that day.

I hope this helps some of you and enjoy the party!!! pirate:

you wont need any fast passes for rides during the parties as the lines are never long. Nothing to worry about.

Yes. This is why some people do not link their party ticket to their band. They are able to schedule Fp between 4-7 then.

Thanks, I should of clarified. FP+ is not eligible for the 3 hours prior to the party starting if entering the part after 4:00 PM.

No. I may be wrong but from what I have read, you are able to use your party ticket and enter at 4, even though they say you cannot enter until 7. You do not need a regular ticket as well. They went to a kiosk to schedule fp..

Ive read through this 4 times and still have no idea what you actually mean

I read it to mean, if you arrive at 4:00 and enter the park with a MNSSHP ticket you aren't eligible for FP+. You are only eligible if you enter using a regular park ticket. If FP+ isn't available at MNSSHP party, it makes sense that if you use that ticket to enter, you can't use FP+, even if the party really doesn't start until 7.

Ahhh, poop. I was hoping we'd score some FP+ rides from 4-7p. Oh well! Crowds will be decreasing at that time anyway. No biggie!

You could last fall so I think we just have to wait and see if people are able to do it this fall. It depends on if they did the extra programming to tie the ticket used to enter the park to the FP+ system. Never really needed that as you couldn't use the FP+ unless you had entered the park and a ticket of some kind was used. I'm not sure it's worth the trouble, but guess we will see.

At this point there are so many changes that nothing is a known until it is actually happening.

It makes perfect sense to me. You are 'technically' paying for park time from 7-whenever.....not for the hours between 4 and 7. Yes, you can get into the park at 4. So, you're actually getting 3 free hours in the park! And...not to mention, Disney could change that at any time. It's just easier for the CMs if party goers arrive at different times vs everyone entering at 7. That was a nightmare! Imagine all the day guests leaving the park, as all the party goers are trying to get in.
So, Disney allows people in early, with just a party ticket. But, those guests are not privy to the same perks the day guests had.

Makes perfect sense but I don't have to LIKE it :(

I made an ADR for 6:30 at MK because I really don't feel like fighting the day crowds AND the night crowds from 4-7.

I think our plan will be to arrive around 4:30 or 5:00. Then get some counter service and hop on whatever rides have short lines!

Then when the crowds start to clear out of non-party guests and the party guests start to get in line for characters, we start hitting all the rides!!:banana::banana:

We plan to watch the later parade.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

I would take your magic bands. From what I understand, they don't cross check to be sure you used them to get in the park and they will work for fast pass, assuming you did not use them in a park that day.

THIS is exactly what I've been trying to find out OP. Though, I honestly do NOT trust the word of a phone CM in any way shape or form. They often know FAR FAR less than folks on the boards and are often found to be giving out factually inaccurate information. It would kind of suck if party goers entering at 4pm with just their ticket couldn't get FP+ (two of our traveling companions will have this exact issue).

As someone upthread said...I get it, but I don't have to like it.

I guess the best thing to do is keep up with the ever-changing rules between now and the party dates and hope for the best. If we end up getting to use FP+ great, if not, it's not going to ruin my time there.
