FP + What we know and what we want to know

I am sorry but why do people think they are somehow entitled to never have to wait more than 15 minutes for an attraction no matter the time of year or the size of their party.

Point is people can still ride attractions using the standby lines.

I'm unsure if you understood her post so I will explain it to you (hope that's okay mom2rtk) It wasn't that she was complaining about waiting in the 15 minute line. It was the possibility that 1-2 person in a party would HAVE to ride standby while their friends/family were using the FP+ line.

Ok, so far Disney has potentially alienated AP holders, locals, tweens/teens and foreign visitors (that come for weeks at a time) with these potential changes.

I see you qualify your statement with "potentially". Keep that in mind when FP+ is rolled out and in operation.

It's funny you mention that right now though. You want to know what I remember every time I look at that photo? We were supposed to be there with our friends we went to the MK with that day. But instead of doing ETWB together, we had to split up. Because they had FP+. And we didn't. We still had fun, but it changed the day for us.

That would change the experience and not for the better. We are lucky in that everyone in our party is staying with us so that makes it easier. Bigger parties are going to be a nightmare. Imagine trying to get ride times for 10 people, some of whom have AP's, some of whom have 10 day tickets, only half of them are staying on property....

Seems a huge problem to me if AP holders and possibly DVC members traveling with family will have to skip rides due to FastPass+ limitations.

Family members can all get in line TOGETHER in a SB line and not have to skip rides AND use FP+ on certain rides together.

The possible limitations on AP FastPass+ to 20 per quarter persuaded me not to get an AP (with the recent DVC awesome discount). We are planning a big family trip next November and the possibility that my family would be limited to 20 and our guests would not have that limitation during our 10 day visit was the tipping point. (Without the AP I wont be tempted to do an extra trip anyway.) Our family will be at WDW for 12 days with family joining us later. Now at least 2 of those days will not be at a Disney park since we "only" have 10 day hoppers. Or we could just truncate our trip and save a few dollars.

My "guess" is if AP holders had no limits, they would reserve TSM every day of the year "just in case" they decide to go. Similar to "walking" a DVC ressie.

I still think when it comes own to it, an AP holder will be able to reserve more than 20 if staying more than 5 days.

Dont see why rides will have to be skipped. People act as if they can not do attractions without a FP.

If my guests have FastPass and I don't, we don't get to ride together. Do we skip or wait in standby?

Speaking for myself, it's because that statement has been true for us on all four trips over the past three years during busy times. I'd hate to be paying the same or more for a trip where we are pushed into riding less or waiting longer next time. With careful planning we've never waited more than 15 minutes or so in any ride line.

I hadn't even thought about that. What a MESS that would be to go through that TT nonsense again under this proposed system. You get up at the crack of dawn and schedule Test Track, only to find out weeks later it's closing for refurb and they reassigned you to Maelstrom!

Sadly, that's likely our 2nd choice at EPCOT.

Sorry, but that's just not realistic at all. Our friends had an appt to do ETWB at 5. At noon, we decided to go ahead and do ETWB standby becuase we didn't want to run the risk of the standby line running us late for dinner at BOG that night, so decided it had to be earlier in the day rather than later.

So when I asked them "Do you want to wait through this 70 minute line with us now then you guys go back and do it again with FP+ later, what do you suppose the answer was? My answer would have been the same. You guys to do it now, we'll catch up with you later. Besides, they had other FP+ return times they needed to be hitting. And as others have posted here recently, even posted SB wait times can be wildly off.
