FP+ time expiring when in line?

Was wondering this while in the FP line recently, had scanned my ticket the first time for my FP but not the second time yet, the time was close to expiring when I did. If the time had expired, would the second scanner not have worked?

According to a CM at Soarin, as long as you scan your ticket or MB at the first checkpoint before your time expires, you are okay.

I'm pretty sure it would still work, but you've got a 15 minute cushion on the expiration anyway.

I was 13 minutes late to my Soarin FP and I knew I would be late to the second checkpoint and the cast memeber said as long as you scan the first checkpoint in time you are good.

Yea it's the first scan that counts. Once that scans, the system registers the pass as used so it doesn't matter what time you make it to the second scan.

If it shows up as used could you then go on the app and see if the next FP you have scheduled has a time within the hour and change it? Would make you not have to wait an hour for the next attraction and on the way to getting the 4th FP quicker.

Precisely what I do if we want to move the next FP up. Soon as we scan at the first FP point, go on the app and see if there's an earlier time. Sometimes I can move it up to wear we head to the next FP directly after using the previous one. So it cuts out that 1 hour gap
