I'm wanting some FP input and overall touring strategy for my upcoming plans for WDW trip Nov 26-Dec 2. It will be me, DH, DS10, DD8, DS5 (43" with shoes), DS3 (39" with shoes). We will be utilizing Child Swap. We did WDW in Oct 2012 with legacy FP and Disneyland in June of 2014, still legacy FP. My biggest questions center around Epcot. It was the park that we really missed out on the most on our 2012 trip. I also want to capitalize on the Christmas experiences, especially at Epcot, as this is our purpose for these dates. We likely won't do it at this time of year again.

Here is what I have so far:

Fri, Nov 25 - fly in later in the day, spend the night in a hotel near airport

Sat, Nov 26 - take ME from airport to Art of Animation
tour the resorts for Christmas decorations (we were going to avoid the parks because I'm guessing it will still be packed with Thanksgiving crowds.

Whispering Canyon Cafe ADRs at 4:55pm

Sun, Nov 27 - MK closes early for party night - we aren't doing a party. Hard to justify cost for a family of six.
8:25am BOG breakfast
tour Fantasyland immediately and also Tomorrowland
aim for FP for SDMT & PP. Could also do Space Mountain, Enchanted Tales with Belle or Princess M&G. We will likely want to do everything in Fantasyland so any suggestions for how to tour and when to schedule FP is appreciated.

Mon, Nov 28 - full day at Epcotrope drop
1. Test Track
2. Soarin (Can we hit both these without FP at RD now that Soarin' has 3rd theatre?)
3. Living with the Land
4. Mission Space (Green)
5. Sum of All Thrills/Character Spot (some members will go to each)
How long will 1-5 take?

Head to World Showcase. I want to be able to take our time here.
My goal is to FP Frozen Ever After. Any idea what time I should try to make that after doing the above in the morning? I'm thinking it would be ideal to see it before our ADRs at 3:40.

We have ADRs at 3:40pm for San Angel Inn with a Candlelight Processional Package
Candlelight Processional at 6:45

Tues, Nov 29 -
HS Sign up for Jedi Training
4:40pm Minnie's Seasonal Dine at Hollywood & Vine with F! package
F! 7pm

Wed, Nov 30 - EP/MK

Where should we focus our fastpasses this day? EP or MK? If we can't get FEA on Monday, then I will make Fastpasses for Epcot this day including FEA. later arrival day if we need itfinish our World Showcase Tour
Parkhop to MK
BOG dinner at 4:30pm
Fireworks at 10pm

Thursday Dec 1 - MK (later arrival if needed )

Tour Liberty Square, Frontierland, and Adventureland
1:00pm Liberty Tree Tavern ADR
FP thoughts - BTMRR

Friday, Dec 2 fly home early

If you want to take in all of the Festive talks you will probably want to budget 2 afternoons to get through the World Showcase. It can be tricky with their timing to get them all done in one day

I don't have any advice because it's my first time planning, but we are going the same week also with 4 kids!! Good luck!

Had more time to look at your plans for Epcot November 28. You should be able to get through your Future World rides by 11:30am. Do them in this order: Test Track, Living with the Land, Soarin then Mission Space (green). Sum of All Thrills is closed (I believe). Your waits shouldn't be too long 20 mins on average.

OP here is what I would do:

Sunday November 27:
I would get FP+ for Peter Pan's Flight, Space Mountain, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

So here is how I would tour:

1. After breakfast Ride Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
2. Go to Tomorrowland and Ride Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
3. Ride Tomorrowland Speedway if thats important to you.
4. Ride Astro Orbiter
5. Use first FP+ for Space Mountain (Try to aim between 10:10am-11:10am)
6. Ride Carrousel of Progress, and See the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor
7. Have Lunch at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe
8. Use FP+ for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Try to aim between 1:00pm-2:00pm)
9. See Enchanted Tales with Belle (Lines for this attraction are not that long anymore, especially during the time you will be going).
10. Ride Under the Sea--Journey of the Little Mermaid
11. Use FP+ to Ride Peter Pan's Flight (Try to aim between 2:15pm-3:15pm)
12. Try to get an additional FP+ for Princess Fairytale Hall if thats important to you, otherwise get a second ride on Space Mountain).
13. Ride It's a Small World
14. Finish off the rest of Fantasyland, the rest of the attractions there will not have long lines, except for the Barnstormer which can sometimes be up to a 30 min wait.
15. So thats good for the day. You should finish well before 7:00pm.

Monday November 28:
I would get FP+ for Test Track, Mission Space, and Spaceship Earth. Frozen Ever After has long lines, but still do it standby, and use FP+ for TT. Test Track very often opens 15-20 min late, which makes the line build up a lot and that will likely also interfere with your Soarin time.

So here is what I'd do:

1. Ride Soarin at Rope Drop (Ride again if the line is not too long and you like it)
2. Head to Sum of All Thrills / Epcot Character Spot
3. Use FP+ to Ride Test Track (Try to aim for 10:30am-11:30am)
4. Ride Ellen's Energy Adventure
5. Use FP+ to Ride Mission Space (Try to aim for 12:00pm-1:00pm)
6. Ride the Seas with Nemo & Friends
7. See Turtle Talk with Crush
8. Use FP+ to Ride Spaceship Earth (Try to aim for 1:45pm-2:45pm)
9. Start Touring the World Showcase Clockwise (Skip Frozen Ever After, and do it at rope drop the next day)
10. Make your 3:40pm San Angel Inn ADR
11. Continue touring the World Showcase until your 6:45pm Candlelight Processional
12. See Illuminations

Tuesday November 29:
Get FP+ for Rock N Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, and Frozen Sing Along Show.

1. Ride Toy Story Mania at Rope Drop
2. Ride the Great Movie Ride
3. Ride Star Tours
4. See the 12:00pm Indiana Jones Show (Try to be there 30 min prior to showtime)
5. Have Lunch
6. Do the Jedi Training
7. See the 2:30pm Frozen Sing Along Show with FP+
8. Use FP+ to Ride Rock N Roller Coaster (Try to aim for 3:10pm-4:10pm)
9. See the 4:00pm Beauty & The Beast--Live on Stage (Try to be there 20-30 min prior to showtime)
10. Make your 4:40pm ADR at Hollywood & Vine
11. Use FP+ to Ride Tower of Terror (Try to aim for 5:55pm-6:55pm)
12. See the 7:00pm Fantasmic Show.

Wednesday November 30:
Get FP+ for Frozen Ever After, Living with the Land, and Pixar Film Festival

1. You can probably arrive at 10:00am on this day.
2. Use FP+ to Ride Living with the Land (Try to aim for 10:00am-11:00am)
3. See the Circle of Life
4. Ride Journey into Imagination with Figment
5. Use FP+ to See Pixar Film Festival (Try to aim for 11:45am-12:45pm)
6. Finish the rest of the World Showcase you haven't seen.
7. Use FP+ to Ride Frozen Ever After (Try to aim for 1:10pm-2:10pm)
8. Arrive at Magic Kingdom by 3:45pm
9. Try to get an additional FP+ for Jungle Cruise sometime after dinner at BOG.
10. Make your Be Our Guest Dinner ADR at 4:00pm
11. Use FP+ to Ride Jungle Cruise
12. See anything you missed the last day that you wanted to do, or Re-Ride any favorite rides.
13. See Main Street Electrical Parade at 9:00pm
14. See Wishes at 10:00pm

Thursday November 31:
Get FP+ for Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Haunted Mansion

1. You can probably sleep in and arrive at 11:00am on this day.
2. See Tom Sawyer Island (Its the best in the late morning)
3. Make your 1:00pm ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern
4. Use FP+ to Ride Splash Mountain (Try to aim for 2:00pm-3:00pm)
5. See Country Bear Jamboree
6. Use FP+ to Ride Big Thunder Mountain (Try to aim for 3:15pm-4:15pm)
7. Go to Liberty Square and See the Hall of Presidents
8. Ride the Liberty Square Riverboat
9. Use FP+ to Ride Haunted Mansion (Try to aim for 4:30pm-5:30pm)
10. Go to Adventureland and Ride Pirates of the Caribbean
11. See the Enchanted Tiki Room
12. Ride Magic Carpets of Aladdin if Important
13. Re-Ride your Favorite Rides.

Haunted Mansion is closed for refurbishment on Thursday, December 1. http://wdwnt.com/blog/2016/09/haunted-mansion-closing-refurbishment-novemberdecember-2016/ Would you suggest Pirates of the Carribean as a replacement for that FP+? Thanks!

Here is what I would actually do. Pirates of the Caribbean lines can be really inconsistent. Sometimes they are walk ons, while other times they can have long lines. What I would actually do is switch Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Crusie. Do Pirates of the Caribbean the day before with either standby or additional FP+, and move Jungle Cruise to thursday, and book FP+ for Jungle Cruise ahead instead of Haunted Mansion.

I would never do living with the land before Soarin there are very few times LWTL has more then a 15 minute wait while soaring can have a 60+ wait. I would get there at park opening go fro TT then soaring then LWTL then mission space ( maybe FP this one) if the park opens at 9 and you cat to TT at RD it should take you 30 to 45 minutes ( since you will have rider swap it will take you a little longer, then your walk over to the land pavilion 10 first group wait in the line for soaring ( maybe 45 minutes to 60) while the other ride living with the land with the children and up stars there is all so something to do ( I think it is a little movie might be fun while you wait for the first group) after the first group get done the second group dose LWTL with the little ones then I would make the FP for mission space start at 11-11;30then I would have your FEA for 1 -130 and if you are early there will be things to do near by

I believe the rationale behind LWTL before Soarin is you allow the early morning rush to get through then you ride with little wait.

I have never seen this the wait only get longer from what I have seen. I would take at look at MDX wait times on a morning maybe check ever 15 minutes and more then likely you will find the wait time gets longer not shorter.

Makes no sense. First of all not many people arrive at rope drop. Most of the crowd arrives between 10-11am. And nowadays the people that do arrive at rope drop usually head to Test Track first, so if you ride Living with the Land first, you will run into everyone at Soarin. Really makes no sense. Soarin is great to do at rope drop, because you can probably ride twice and not have to wait over 30 min for the second time even.

but the OP want to also do TT and FEA and I would do FP for FEA do TT at rope drop then head over to soaring with the exit theater it dose not pick up as fast but it dose pick up as the day goes on, or the OP could do soaring first and then single rider for TT but not sure they would be able to use rider swap

He appears to be going to Epcot two days though, so I told him to FP+ TT one day, and FEA the other day. And by the way I wouldn't do TT at rope drop. Very often the ride opens late due to technical difficulties which makes the line backup a lot, and at the end, it can interfere with the Soarin time.

OK people don't shoot the messenger. I looked the info up on a "Plan" I use, entered the rides they wanted and reported the results I was given. No one else here had bothered to chime in with info at the time so I gave the OP a direction to go with. Others have chimed in with rides that are closed and no one has jumped all over them.
