I have an activated AP, DH does not have an AP. We will have a ressie for 7 nights on property, probably with a package with 10 day tickets we Will save for another trip. My question is...if we make FP-+ ressies! will we be able to keep them if they are tied to the 10 day passes if we don't use the 10 day passes and DH upgrades a 2 day pass when he gets there and I use my AP? If I tie his 2 day pass to his band now, I believe we would only be able to make FP+ for 2 days for him.

I could be wrong on this but there could be a difference at 60 and 30 days. Prior to 30 days you may be limited to only 7 FP+ days since that is the number of nights you are staying on site. We have AP and are staying 8 nights in July. I would like to book 9 days worth of FP+ times but it only lets me do 8. I assume that limit is due to the 8 night stay. I thinking I may be able to do the 9th FP+ day at the 30 days prior mark of the day.

Not sure if something like that may impact you. Actually not even sure of the nights on site is what is impacting me.

So what your saying is the number of days you can reserve FP + is tied to the number of nights your staying on property! not the # of days on your pass linked to your band?

That is incorrect overall.

If you have an AP (which we do so I have experience) and you have an 8 night onsite stay you can book 9 days worth of FP+ as long as they (the days) are during your stay (ie first day to last day).

If you have an AP but are staying offsite/ at home you can only book 7 days worth of FP+

If you are staying onsite the number of days worth of FP+ that you can book are tied to the number of days worth of tickets that you have. If you have a 2 day ticket the site assumes you will only be in the parks for 2 days and thus you can only book 2 days of FP+.

Hopefully that makes sense.

As a side note I'm not sure why heybravo is having trouble booking all of the days. We were just down in May - staying 8 nights and I easily booked 9 days worth of FP+ 60 days out.

Thanks. We will have 10 day tickets tied to our ressie, so I guess we can make enough FP+ ressies. I know I can make my AP the priority pass on my band. With DH, I was thinking of having him use his unused 2 day hard ticket once we get there the first day, then upgrade that for the current trip. Then have them take his 10 day off his band. I just don't know if his FP+ ressies will transfer over to his upgraded 2 day pass. Confusing, huh?

Have you thought about - letting DH use his 10 day ticket so the FP+ is set/ no risk of them getting lost. Then if you want to upgrade the 2 day ticket (without using it first!) to a 10 day ticket to use on a future trip. Then you have a ticket with plenty of days on it and can make FP+ for a future trip easily.

We have APs - on our most recent trip - I bought along 2 day tickets (we had gotten them in a free dining promo while we had an AP so saved them). I upgraded them to 10 day tickets (at DTD) while we were there. So when we visit in January and need tickets to use and upgrade to an AP we have them and can make FP+ arrangements for 10 days worth from home.
