Hi all,

We are off in dec for three weeks. We have a package booked with disney us and it includes 10 day MYW tix which are on from 12th Dec. I've a room only dvc reservation for the four nights before this and I intend to pick up my MYW tix three days early on 9th and up grand them to dvc annual passes.

I've made FP+ reservations for the last 10 days of my stay as they are over the Xmas period but am at my limit now aa I have a 10 day pass.

Do you think I'll be able to book FP+ for my first 10 days in the park once I'm in the park??

MB's, cups, MDE - it's going to be a learning holiday!

7 weeks today :) hurray!!

Christie :yay:

I don't see why not. I go next week and booked my FP+ at the 60 day point. Having checked MDE since, there are more fast passes available for more attractions since booking my own the closer I get to my holiday. I think MDE will keep a large amount of FP+ until their day of intended use so that everybody who can't pre book has a chance!

I've managed to make FP+ selections for the full 14 days of my trip

I've added a 'Will Call' ticket reservation number for my AP which I will be picking up once I get there :goodvibes

Hi there,

We too go for 3 weeks over Xmas period and have booked accommodation and paid for the DDP through Disney US as annual pass holders.

We will not be issued with magic bands as they are not giving to annual pass holders yet (so we've been told). I was getting really worried that we wouldn't be able to get fast passes at all as everyone with magic bands would have pre-booked them. It didn't seem fair when we were paying the same and staying in Disney hotel.

When my DH called and asked about it, he was told in no uncertain terms that it would make absolutely no difference and that the existing fast pass system would still be working as normal, distributing fast passes as before and we would have as much chance of getting a fast pass as someone who has pre-booked with a band. I can't really see how that works but what can we do but believe what we're told and go with the flow.

If this is the case then you should be able to just use the standard fast pass system for the first part of your holiday and not encounter too many problems.

We are only going to visit the parks up until Xmas then spend the week between Xmas and the new year just doing other things around Orlando and Florida to avoid the crowds in Disney parks. I realise everywhere will be really busy but hopefully not 'as' busy as Disney itself.

Have a wonderful trip and enjoy your Disney Christmas, I can't wait!

Hi :)

It's my understanding that annual pass holders who are staying on site can get magic bands at the moment. It's only annual pass holders staying off site that can't. Have you already bought your ap's?

Did you get a free dining package with myw tix or have you paid for DDP oop?

I've read about people linking their ap's onto MDE including people who have will call vouchers.

Hi Linda,

That's fab to know :) I wasn't sure how many days they would allow ap holders to book FP+. I can't do more than 10 as I can't upgrade until I arrive but that gives me hope that I'll be able to squeeze a few more in. The thought of not having to be at the park at the crack of dawn each day really lifts the pressure!

Christie :)

You will qualify for a magic band as you are staying onsite - check MDE. If the customise bands isn't showing check back at 60 days out. If its still not showing trying modifying your online check in (you don't need to complete it) and that usually gets them to show.

At 60 days out you can book FP+.

You are limited by the tickets in your MDE account. Once you have your APs linked you will be able to book more days :goodvibes

Sorry to butt in but I'm just not understanding the whole MDE thing - I have downloaded the app and managed eventually to link my reservation which is showing up but somehow says 2 quick service meal per day when in fact I have the table/quick combo :).

What I don't get is how you can link your park tickets or get them to show up etc?? What am I missing......help!!!

I booked a package and my hoppers popped up automatically. If you do a search I'm sure someone will have written about what to do with 14 day ultimates (if this is what you have?)

I wouldn't worry about DDP on MDE as long as your booking is full DDP on your documents them it will all work out. :)

Thanks so much :) I'm going to do early ticket pick up then upgrade to DVC ap's so will hopefully all work out and not take forever to do! Think I'll drive to DTD on our first full day after breakfast at Ohana's at 7.30 and sort there as should be quiet at 9am ish! Fingers crossed :)

I have booked a package with the 14 day hoppers but don't see anything on MDE about them - there is a bit to link tickets but it's looking for ticket numbers etc

here right now, and here are the current limitations as of today:

you can't have more than 14 days of FP+ booked at the same time. even if you're AP and stay 1 month onsite you'll be able to book fp+ for any day as long as the total number of days with fp+ selections do not exceed 14

fastpass (legacy) still works and it's still possible to double dip

refillable mugs on the ddp are length of stay but can only be issued for 14 days at a time
on day 15 you need to go back to the food court to get a time extension

This is correct. The current requirements for Magic Bands and FP+ is an onsite stay and nearly* any form of ticket attached to your MDE, including Annual Passes.

*There are a handful of conditional promotional tickets that can't be attached in advance, chiefly because they need to be picked up in person at resort.
