FP+ questions... Really lost

Thank you.:)
I started thinking this is likely why they added wifi to all the parks. Then it occurred to me that we never use our cell phones at Disney because even getting an add on American data plan would make our bill astronomical. Which led me to wondering if it will even be available for certain cell phones..

Currently in my house, my iPad can use the app fine, and my sons android phone. My daughters windows phone is not able to access the app yet.

Still have not be able to get the FP+ info from the app...
I hit explore, attractions, makes me pick a park, MK - splash mt., says FP, but nothing about FP+

I'm kinda, sorta, ALMOST starting to dig this. My mornings will be more free as I won't be running around like a chicken with my head cut off hoarding fastpasses. I won't be cutting across the park to use them in the newly enforced return window. It will free up my morning to take advantage of those short lines for the first few hours of operation each day.

I think the most exciting prospect is what it will do for my evening- when I choose to park hop for the evening, it will allow me to have FP+ reservations for several rides. It will make getting on an e-ticket ride between the hours of 4 and 7 PM with a short wait a possibility.

Honestly, I grew up without FP. It was a nice perk, and we have yet to see how it will pan out. But I'm going to be cautiously optimistic.

When I click on attractions and choose anything, I get a blue button that says select fastpass + . When I click on that, the app searches and searches and then says there is a error. I did add notes to my June trip reading me to stop in starring rolls for some dessert. But the itinerary feature s a little lame. The maps are super cool.

Getting evening FP for evening parks would be nice when hopping. And as far as being limited to one or two choices a day, I feel very confident that I will be able to buy more if I want. My app will be connected to my credit card. I bet the temptation to get one more TSMM will be too much to pass up! :). I will just have to stop eating at signature restaurants.

I love the maps too! I just wish i could find the fp+ info...
I also like dinning all on one page that is readable size... However I hated having to re-enter the con. Numbers in the app..

I'm also just going to throw out there that I recently returned from a trip to California between Christmas and New Years. I was attending a convention in Anaheim.

I did not make it to the parks prior to 11:00 AM, and in most cases it was closer to 3:00 or 4:00 PM.

I was able to ride every ride I wanted, sometimes multiple times, over the course of the 5 days I was there (and remember, I was in the parks only 2-6 hours a day).

I did not use a single fastpass during this trip. During the busiest week of the year.

This isn't the end of the world, I promise.

Disneyland is, IMO a lot different - crowd wise. Even when it's peak crowds, there are likely far more locals than at WDW. Locals don't need to ride every ride every time they're there...that makes attraction rides more bearable even when the park is crowded. WDW has a lot more first-time, once-in-a-lifetime visitors that need to see and do as much as they can.

I don't have the fp+ info either.

I also can't find where my ADRs are on the app. No place to enter conf #s, even. Also, I can only book ADRs on the app that don't require cc holds. If I try to book one that needs a cc hold, it says I have to call to make the ADR to give my cc info. Can't find any place on app to enter cc info, either. CC info is stored on my disney.com account (used it to make ADRs that require it).

I'm using a kindle for the app. Anyone else on a kindle getting any of these?

I also can't get find where my ADRs are on the moble web site either, or even where to look for them, though they're on the regular site.

There is no FP+ info, it's just a button that takes you to a calendar and then gives an error. The button is currently on all the attractions, including the treehouse and riverboat.

That explains why I get a call for reservation note on signatures. It needs the cc.

For ADRs, I went to my plans and scrolled for date. My ADR showed up. There is a option to link dining ADRs too. If I go to my dates on my plans, in the upper right corner there is a plus sign. That allows to add notes and dining. There is a button linking ADRs, but I haven't tried it yet.

I don't think I can add a credit card to my app yet. But it describes this in the terms and conditions. So we will soon.

Can you save me hours of going back through 18 pages and tell me what app this is?

Thanks. Battery died, so I'll try it tomorrow.

Having both options would have been cool. As long as everyone had both options. Your experience at Belles would be the exemplar for how not to run the program.

I got to do this last May and it was fabulous! However, I come down on the side of those unhappy with the apparent new caveat that regular FP will no longer be an option if you are doing FP+. Together they make the trip smoother, separately they make the trip a hassle.

We have already booked a MYW package for late in the year.

I suppose it's speculation at this point but if I didn't create any FP+ reservations for My Disney Experience, do you think I'd automatically be able to use the standard FastPass? My concern is that we will be automatically pigeonholed into having to use FP+ (as a result of booking the package; checking in to the hotel and being given the FP+) when I'd rather just use the old one.

Doesn't seem to really have been discussed....but for those who don't have a smart phone or carry an ipad to the park just be screwed? We might be changing phones soon but for now we don't have a smart phone and my nook color can't get the app. So people are saying the choices are on the app. Great so would I be able to book anything on my home computer or nook through the main page not the app? Then if I need to change things in the park I am just screwed? Or will there be kiosks to allow changes if any are left. Yeah not sold on this.

Going with 2 young kids one who does not handle lines well so we need to plan very well to reduce waiting time. I like being able to book a few things in advance even if it is only like splash, pooh or peter pan and a good place to watch a parade. But we do park hop for dinner and we do need to be a bit flexible if her sensory issues interfere and we need a break. Right now I am not sure if we will be better taking a midday break or touring until 4-6 then going back to the resort for dinner and swim or a combo of both. Not liking it if we have to choose all or nothing.

Another stupid question...It says changing paper tickets etc sends you to the new system and you have to change your tickets to use the system right... I thought the keys to the world are now RFID right so do they work both systems in the trial? Won't having a resort package force you to use the FP+ system?

Strange. I don't have an option for "My Plans"
