Could someone please clarify-

Onsite guest:- I book my fp+ for a specific time 60 days in advance, correct? And these are the only fp that I can get for a park in a day?

Can I book different members of my reservation different fp + reservations? For example: One child has no interest in SM- can I book her for a meet and greet? Does the adult accompanying her also need a fp+??

I don't think I like this new system. :(

Yes, you can start booking your FP+ 60 days in advance.

Those 3 are the only FP you can get (at this time) one park 3 FP+ that's it (could change you never know)

yes, different members can have different FP+ however for a meet/ greet everyone who is line needs a FP (if you're going down the FP line)

Yes, you can book FP+ up to 60 days in advance and you currently can get only 3 FPs per day.

You can book different FPs for different members of your family, but the adult accompanying the child to a m&g would need to have a FP for the m&g as well.

yes and a way around that is to use child swap at SM and use YOUR FP to go to a ride with that child

note child swap only works if the child is too small for a ride not if they "don't want to ride it"

Went to "mom's panel" from Disney web site and swap CAN be used for children that have a fear of a ride. For example, fear of space mountain. Go to the mom's panel on Disney website and search child swap. Find the question like yours.

Maybe, maybe not--this comes down to the cm working the attraction. It will always work when the child is too short.

I'm going to toot this forum's horn just a bit and say that I would trust the collective knowledge here on this subject.

note I have no personal experience with child / baby swap - when we first went to Disney (as a family) DD was 7 and thus tall enough for everything (or almost everything).

I have read on here many times that the CM has asked for the child to be produced and has turned people down if the child was big enough to ride the ride. Just food for thought.

Yup.

Sadly, the "Mom's Panel" site is also infamous for posting some really bad info.
(Such as recommending that a guest buy an "extra day" on a MYW ticket to use instead of adding the Park Hopper upgrade. :scared1: )

The problem is, they don't undergo "peer review" like what happens here on this board.

If a member of the Mom's Panel posts a mistaken item, the info goes unchallenged and uncorrected.
It just sits there, wrong, for all the world to read, again-and-again.

But, if misinformation gets posted here on the DIS, it will be just a matter of hours (if not minutes) until another poster (or 6*;)*) drops in with the corrected info.

I can tell you that when I post a clinker (and I certainly have**;) )
it doesn't take long for my post to be challenged and the info corrected.

That's why the info on the DIS is so remarkably superior to many other sites.
The huge number of participants ready to keep the info up-to-date and accurate.

This is why I always say that the DIS is an amazing community of help for Disney travelers.
The best info available, kept accurate by the constant input from hundreds (thousands) of Disney fans.

Keep in mind that the "Mom's Panel" is just a group of volunteers that won a contest. They aren't Disney employees, they don't have the "official" rules given to them and what they say can be wrong.

In my experience with the "Child Swap" we were asked to show the child that did not meet the height requirement before we could use the Child Swap option. Just because a child does not like or fears a ride does not necessarily mean that you can use the Child Swap, that may be up to the decision of each individual CM working the attraction at the time.

Hopefully they get a good cm.
