FP+, Magic Bands, a little out of the loop...

Ok, so we go to Disney each year, but feeling like I am really out of the loop right now. We were there in July, and I knew all of this was coming, but it was only in testing stages then. I just booked our Christmas 2014 trip, and feel like I need a catch-up on what I have missed class. I know what FP+ is, but don't know how far in advance you can schedule. Also, when/how do you get your Magic Bands? Do you get those ahead of checking in your resort? We will be staying on points. I will be getting annual passes before we go, but they won't be activated until we get there. Can we still schedule FP+ ahead of time? I have never felt so out-of-the-loop since our first visit 8 years ago. Any help on these questions you can provide, would be great! TIA!

You get your Magic Bands after you have booked your trip. We got an email with info on how to set it up. After you select colors and personalize them with names, they will be mailed to you prior to your trip. Don't forget to pack them.

If you don't get an email you can go into your My Disney Experience account and order them.

You can book your Fastpass+ 60 days prior to arrival as long as you have valid ticket media and have linked the tickets to your MDE account.
