FP+ Is it normal to have FP+ canceled when ticket is altered?

My husband and I are DVC members. My mom is not a DVC member but will be traveling with us on various trips this year. We purchased DVC APs for myself, DH, and DD. My DH accidentally purchased a DVC AP for my mom as well. She doesn't live with us so she can't have a DVC AP. DH called and switched her ticket to a regular AP. When her ticket was switched all of her FPs must have disappeared. I didn't realize this until today. Our trip is in 11 days.

I called ticketing, and they were able to get my mom FPs for everything except Anna and Elsa and 7DMT by copying our FP to my mom. My mom's times are a little off on some FPs but no more than 10 min. I'm not worried about 7DMT because we can't all ride together anyway as we have a 20 month old. We can use babyswap - no big deal.

I'm really upset about A&E though. The lady on the phone told me that the problem arose because the person who changed the ticket didn't copy my mom's FPs for the trip. Even so, she said she couldn't add the A&E FP to my mom's account because there aren't any left. I guess I just don't understand why can't she just add it back. I stayed up until midnight and made all the FPs. We all had the same FPs for everything. No one told us we had to make new FPs for my mom.

My mom probably won't even "visit" with A&E, but she wants to watch her granddaugthers see them. It isn't like adding this one FP is going to cause this huge back-up. The lady on the phone suggested I go to GR when we get there and ask if they can do something.

Should I try to call again or just go to GR?

Is FPs disappearing due to a change in the ticket normal?
 
Your Mom shouldn't have lost her FPs. FPs remain in MDE even with ticket changes. The CM must have inadvertently cleared the FPs.

You can ask at the FP line for A&E and quickly explain your FPs had been deleted by a CM. There have been reports that additional adults were allowed to join in with the group even without a FP.

The FP line CMs can be accommodating. This week when I rode Star Tours, the FP light did not turn green because we were a little early. We were allowed to enter because the CM knew we were only early by one minute.

You can also try at GR.
 
Even if they can't get you an actual A&E FP, they can give your mom an anytime FP, that is good for any ride at any time of day. We've had these several times. If you don't want to wait till you get there to resolve it, I would call back and see if you get a more helpful CM. if you don't, I would politely escalate it to a supervisor. It's not a hard fix.
