Hi there:). Has anyone done Fps for split stay recently? Our 60 days is tomorrow, just trying to know what to expect. I've seen conflicting info out there. It seems like sometimes you can book FPs for the full length of stay, other times it's split. Either way, I'll post back tomorrow and let you know how I make out.

If you’re onsite for both stays, your window will open for both together.

Can you report back how everything went this morning?

I was just getting ready to post:). We were able to book for the length of stay. We're a party of 6 celebrating twin dd's college graduation and our youngest 16th bday. It's a 10 day trip for us so we didn't do fp's everyday. Listing our plans below. We tried to build in some flexibility so we can do Disney Springs at some point. Some mornings to sleep in. do half pool days. This trip is a bit different. We typically do rope drop, we're not doing that every day just trying a different strategy. The tier fps were kind of messing us up, but we figure since we're on property we could always go back at night or rope drop if we feel like. We'll see how it goes!

Yay first split stay and I’m trying to figure it all out. Thanks for asking this.

I’m doing 1 night at a DS good neighbor hotel and then 9 at CBR. Am I still able to book the whole thing at once or no?

Just reporting in...this morning, trying to do our dining with a split day...it will only allow me to do reservations for the first part of my stay, not the second.

FYI, booking dining and FPs with a resort split stay has always been treated differently.

For dining, you have two separate booking windows tied to the check in date of each resort stay.

For FPs, with two consecutive on site/eligible stays you have one window which is tied to the check in date for stay #1.

Really? we did 3 different resorts last september & I don't recall this issue at all.... and I'm always up making reservations for our trips the minute our window opens.....

but good to know fastpasses work length of stay.... not sure whats going down with GE , but I want a full week advantage if their are FP for that area... thanks for the quick response...

Is there a reason you didn't book three fast passes on the days you're doing parks? I notice some of your days you did, but not all. Are you not planning on being in the park long? I find it's a lot easier to start off with three than make them on the day and you can always make a fourth after.

FYI, not to scare anyone but we are also doing a split stay at the end of July/beginning of August and there was some problem with my MDE account, which the Disney folks couldn't even figure out, and I was only able to book FPs for my first resort stay. The CM I spoke with on the phone added my second batch of FPs, and fortunately I was able to get everything I wanted (including a morning FP for FOP) but some people are having problems with FPs and split stays. I am not sure how to know if you're one of the or how to avoid this since all of my reservations and tickets were linked in my account before my 60 day FP window opened up but I guess you could call at about 6:50am and get in the queue (was about 20 minutes when I called at 7:02am after seeing the available dates on the calendar stop halfway through my stay) and just hang up if you see all of your dates when you first log in to the FP system. Good luck!

This sounds like it was a one time hiccup type thing. Is that kinda what Disney described it as? Has anyone else run into problems booking FP for the entire length of split stay?

We just did ours this week and we could do it for the whole stay. Dining was divided when we did it.

Hi all! Question on this....we are doing a split stay in November (both Disney resorts) but we have no park tickets linked to our first reso, only the 2nd. Will I still be able to book FP's on the 60 day mark of my first reso or do I have to wait until the start of my second one?

This was not my experience today.
I have two hotel reservations. Starting first night at a Disney Springs hotel, then moving to Pop Century for 6 Nights. Both stays are linked in MDE. I have 5 day 1-park tickets linked in our MDE. The park tickets have the third day or our stay (second day at Pop) as their 'start' day. I couldn't get any Fast passes today, which is 60 days from the DS booking. Phoned and was told that because the first activation day for the park tickets wasn't until the second stay, i can't book FP today. I'm skeptical, and sure hope I don't encounter any problems tomorrow!

A DSprings hotel is not an onsite Disney Resort.

The FP system no longer allows the fully open window for DSprings guests.

Consecutive Disney onsite resort stays keep the FP booking window open for the complete length of all the onsite stays.
