First, where does one see the show from, one place or are there multiple locations? How soon do you need to get there? Finally, I copied this bit of advice from another such thread: 'Try not to make your FP+ on an IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party night(Wednesday-Friday-Saturday).' What's that about?

Thanks for any info offered,

First,

2. How soon do you need to get there? Finally, I copied this bit of advice from another such thread:

1. Next to the western "Twin Gift Shop" #16 on the map below.
2. Latest I'd show is 20-30 minutes before show-time. (The earlier you get there, the better position you can get.)
3. It's about a very, very, very, very over-priced "event" which takes place at #14 on the map.

And, as an opinion, I'd not waste a FP+ on this as there are SO MANY great places to watch IllumiNations.
(And, if the WIND should happen to be blowing towards the reserved viewing area(s,)
guests will have to endure smoke and cinders with their "show.")

Thanks for the informative reply. I agree there are other 'free' places to view but during Food&Wine they seem to get taken quickly. Also, after doing TT and Soarin' there aren't many (any)Epcot attractions that need a FP so we'll give this a shot sometime in Oct/Nov.

Remember that with tiering, you can't get a FP+ for Soarin' -AND- Test Track -AND- IllumiNations at the same time.

NOTE: You could book 3 FP+ at Epcot,
then CANCEL two of your "worthless" FP+ reservations BEFORE you use your Soarin' FP+,
then book your "4th" FP+ for Test Track, use it,
then book your "5th" FP+ for IllumiNations... still early in the day.
