How does FP+ work for Florida residents? Presumably these people are making spur of the moment trips, so they won't be making reservations 180 (or whatever) days in advance.

I ask because there's a strong possibility that we will be moving to the Orlando area in the next year and naturally my first thought was WDW.

If you're staying at a Disney resort, it's 60 days from the day you check into the resort.

If you are not, you must be within 30 days from the days you want to make FPs. Annual passholders not staying onsite can have 7 days booked at one time. More than 7 days and they have to wait until they have used some to make any more.

You must have valid park admission linked to MDX to reserve any fastpasses ahead of time.

180 days is for restaurants, events and recreation, not FPs.

Agreed, we are semi-local, in Tampa area, so an hour and a half away, and we go up for the weekend frequently, generally as soon as I know we are going I make my fp+, which might be as far out as 30 days, but generally more like 2 weeks out, sometimes even just a couple days ahead.

Thank you.

It took me far too long to figure out how to get back to my post to see the replies.
