For those of you who follow the 'day of' FP drops, can you report on any current patterns.

I haven't been since Jan. 2019 and at that time I believe was 9:20am & 2:20pm.

Can anyone report what's happening now?

Bump again, I'm going to need to use this strategy tomorrow.

What is this? I don’t know what you are talking about?

Last I saw that was in January at HS, 9 am on the dot SDD, Saucers, and TSM all added FPs at once. I was able to get a same day SDD for 20 minutes after getting off the ride for the first time. It was pretty awesome.

It is rumored that WDW has times during the day that they release a number of FPs for specific popular rides. They are at specific times during the day and are gone very quickly.
It may have been luck or it may be true, but seemed to work for us 2 weeks ago.

It’s definitely not a rumor, its something they do, but I would guess it happens at random times when park attendance doesn’t meet expectations or if a ride isn’t seeing enough guests vs actual attendance at any given time.

The drops are at the same times each day though some of them may not occur every day (things such as rides being down can affect whether or not there is a drop but most of the time they happen).

Admin doesn't really want them discussed openly. There are a couple of places online they can be found if you look (and not all behind paywalls...Google is your friend).

You know, it's funny, I once explained why from a logistics standpoint from similar industries this would be the case. It made perfect sense and fit available descriptions of experiences, and I got straight up skewered about it here. Funny how times change. Disney could wield immense crowd control power while making people feel excited about it, they'd be foolish not to reserve capacity to do this sort of thing.

I seriously doubt they are regular events, and while they are probably clustered near certain times of days because that's when key decisions will be made regarding crowds, I would assume it's very much an ad-hoc on demand sort of decision.
