FP+ concise version

Can someone give me the simplified version of FP+ /magic bands? I have read some posts, but still confused? Some questions:

1 .At what time-frame can the FP+ be selected? My trip is in May.

2. How do you park hop with the FP+ ?

3. Does this new system require me to take my phone to the parks for changes?

4. Only 3 per day?

I thought about calling Disney, but thought I would just ask the DIS experts.

Keep in mind all this could change at any time, but as of RIGHT NOW:

IF YOU ARE A WDW RESORT GUEST

1. 60 days out. If you log into My Disney Experience, there will be a button you can click for FastPass +. It will either let you book them, or will tell you when you can.

2. On each day you can get 3 FP+ at the same park. If you want to park hop, you can, but all 3 of your FP+ must be at the same park.

3. Taking your phone would be easiest, but if you can't or don't want to, you can stop by one of several kiosks in each park. Lines form at these so it's really best to use your phone.

4. 3 per day.

IF YOU ARE NOT STAYING AT A WDW HOTEL: You have to book your FP+ the day you are visiting the park. You can only make changes at a kiosk.

Thanks, all questions answered. Yes, we are staying onsite. Did the offsite for one trip many years ago and really missed having the whole Disney experience. That FP+ is limiting park hopping.
