FP Choices with Family

I have a question with FP+. I am going to WDW in April with family under 2 separate reservations. We are all linked together in MDE though. When we choose FP+ ahead of time, will we be able to choose for all of us, even though we are under 2 separate reservations? Or will we be able to choose everything together since we are all linked together in MDE?

You are able to invite family members to "plan and share" your reservations. I haven't personally done this with 2 seperate reservations, but I'm almost positive you can.

You invite the family members via email (whoever has the main disney account) so your resort, dining and FP+ reservations are all synced up together.

It depends on whether the other family has their own MDE account. My mom (older, no smartphone, etc.), does not have an MDE account, so I just added her to ours and added her reservation number. In most cases, I was able to manage everything for her - select MBs, select FP+, etc. The one thing that I could not do was get FP for BOG lunch. It kept pulling up my own reservation. In the end, I cancelled and did not go to BOG lunch.

We are 2 families travelling together, each with our own Disney account. I am able to make dining reservations and fast pass reservations for everyone. I know there is a way to link them in the system, but I had called Disney to have them link it.

Great question! I have the same issue. I have linked all the people in the two reservations, but it is not time to pick fastpasses yet so I can't say for sure that it will work. But what about the Be Our Guest fastpass? Can't you just make your reservation for the amount of people total on both reservations or will it not let you do that? What if you were meeting someone in the park or something? And what about online checkin? I clearly see both the reservations listed on my MDE will it let me do online check in for both?
