I've read through many of the suggestions, and just wanted to confirm with the experts out there what I have interpreted to be true. My scenario: we will be in the area 8 days, currently have an onsite reservation for 7 nights, 6 day tickets linked to our accounts, and are planning on purchasing tix for MNSSHP for an additional day. We are also planning on upgrading our 6 days tix to 7 day once we arrive, so we essentially will be in the park 8 consecutive days or parts of days.

I am under the assumption that because we only have 6 day passes currently, we can only book FP 60 days out for 6 of the 8 days we are planning to be there. The other two days we can do at 30 days out. My strategy should be to grab the most difficult FP at our 60 day window, and then at the 30 day window, I can add the FP for the last two days.

Is this correct?

1. Yes.
2 & 4. Nope. Not unless you have tickets for those days.
If you order MNSSHP tickets, you will be able to book 3 advance FP+ for the hours between 4PM and 7PM on your party day. You can do that before your 60-day mark and male those FP+ at 60-days (+.)
3. That'll work.

You will only be able to make the last day of FP+ reservations after you upgrade your ticket
to add that day.

You can only book FP+s for the number of day where you have valid park admission. So if you only have six admissions when the 60 day window opens, you only get six days of FP+. That doesn't change at 30 days if you still only have 6 admissions. If you buy your MNSSHP ticket before 30 days, you'll have one more admission (but you could also buy that before 60 days and get it then), but you'll not be able to book your 7th day on your regular park ticket until you actually purchase that 7th day.

Makes sense. I will buy the MNSSHP tickets now, add the FP for those at 60 days, then add the day with the least popular FP once we upgrade tix onsite.

Yup.

So, just want to make sure I got this right :

No matter what tickets you have before your 60 days, you can book your FP+ for up to 10 days (if you stay onsite of course).

Planning on going at MNSSHP on October 6th, check in being on Sept. 29th. Let's say we're very lucky and are able to book 7DMT on the day we do MNSSHP (between 4 and 7 of course, while one of us is waiting for the dwarfs picture), that FP+ will be taken from our party tickets, not our regular tickets. Is that correct? Getting a bit confused here.

Thanks in advance!

1. Yes. Any valid tickets.

2. You can only book 3 FP+ per day in advance, regardless of how many tickets you have.
FP+ reservations don't "take from" any particular ticket.

Robo,

Your number 2 point is important to me because our FP+ selection because we have a mix of different types of tickets. We have people with hoppers, some with non hoppers and a CM comp ticket, and one with just CM comp tickets all linked to MDE. I just want to confirm that if an individual(s) has a two day non hopper and a one day CM comp ticket (which is a hopper) that we I do the FP+ selections (for my very first time, so I am nervous) that I do not need to be concerned about which ticket will be assigned? The ticket will be assigned only after we enter? This is important to us because we are only planning to hop on one of our 3 MK days and I do not want to get it messed up.
How does the band know which ticket to use when we enter on a certain day if we have two different tickets types assigned to one individual.

Thank you.

P.S. We were forced to do this be causes of the block out dates at MK in June for the CM's gate passes and our desire to have FP+ selection capability at the 60 day window.

What kind of ticket is associated with which guest, and the number of tickets associated with each guest is irrelevant for FP+ purposes. If a guest has 3 valid admissions linked to their MDE account, they'll have the opportunity to book 3 days of FP+s. Note you can only prebook 3 FP+s per day, NOT per park per day. So the park hopper is irrelevant for FP+ purposes...you're going to have to pick one park to make your FP+s in for that day.

For you, what will be important will be that on your non-hopping day, the gate doesn't take a hopper from your entitlements. The only way to check if the right entitlement was taken was to stop in GR after your band is scanned that day to make sure the correct entitlement was used. There's nothing you can do ahead of time to ensure the correct entitlement is tied to the day you want it to be. All you can do is correct it after the fact. So if a hopper gets used when you don't want it to be used, you need to have GR correct that manually.

Do I have to confirm the right one was used before I use any Fast Passes? Or can I do it any time during that day or even on a different day. Thank you.

No, what admission you use has nothing to do with FP+s. Again, the type of admission has nothing to do with FP+, but has everything to do with the ability to hop on that particular day. If you want to hop on a day where they take a non-hopper, you won't be able to. If you use a hopper on a non-hopping day, you won't have it to use on a day you want to hop.

I appreciate you taking the time trying to explain it too me. I understand what you stated. Now I know it makes not difference when making FP+ reservations or when using them.

I have two guests each with a two day non hopper and a CM comp ticket that is a hopper. The plan is to go to MK only for two days during our trip and not hop which is why we purchased the two day non hopper. Then on the last day we will go back to MK for a third day, but need to hop to Epcot for dinner, so as you can see that it is critical (as you said) for the CM Comp ticket with the Hopper on the last day and not the first two days.

Therefore we enter MK on the first day (no hoping needed) and whenthe band is scanned we have no control on which ticket they used for the entry as you stated.
1. How will I know which one they used? Will I need to go to MDE and see which ones are left? Or some other way?
2. If it is the wrong one I need to go to GS to have them manually change it? Use the right one and put the wrong one back on?
3. Can I do this at any time during my visit? Must it be right away? The same day? Or any time before I use the next ticket perhaps on the next day?

Again, thank you in advance for your patience with my questions. Also thank you for mentioning this because neither I nor my CM brother were aware of this possibility.

If you're not planning to use the hopper until the last day you can visit guest services and have them set the priority of the tickets to use the non-hopper first and the hopper second. If an error is made and a hopper is used where a non-hopper should have been it is best to fix it day of vs later in the trip.
