I have never done a split stay before, but will likely be doing for our next trip. As of now, our plans are to spend a couple nights on site, then travel to the Cocoa Beach area for a few days, and finally back to WDW for a few nights. When the 60 day window opens for the first stay, am I correct that I can only book FP+ for the length of that first stay and then must wait until the 60 day mark of my second stay to book those FP+? Or since I will have more days of tickets than my first stay, will I be able to book beyond my checkout day from the first stay? It will all be within 10 days.

Since we did a cruise this year instead of a WDW stay, I've been away from the theme parks board for a while. I can't remember everything about how FP+ worked from before and I haven't kept up with the latest developments.

What you describe isn't the normal definition of "split stay." Usually, it means two reservations with no gap in between. And in that scenario, you can book FP+ for the entire duration at the first 60-day mark. But, with a gap, you'll have to wait for the second 60-day mark.

Thanks. That's what I thought.
