I searched for an answer to this question before posting but didn't find it, please direct me to the thread if this has already been asked/answered. Thanks!

We park hop almost everyday. RD park #1 and leaving park #1 at 1pm-ish, go back to resort for swim/nap and then go to park #2 4-5pm.

If we RD park #1 and follow a standby touring plan, should I book the FP+ for the evening at the park #2? or should I book FP+ for park #1 late morning and take our chances with stand-by at park #2 in evening?

Note: I have planned to be at every park at least once in the morning and once in the evening during our trip (except AK in evening as it closes at 5pm in October so I will do FP+ for AK that day and standby at MK that evening). Also, not worried about A&E FP+.

Thanks!

I would book FP at the first park. You should be able to take advantage of shorter lines at rope drop.

If I can take advantage of shorter lines at RD, wouldn't it be better to book FP for 2nd park when lines are going to be longer in the evening?

Most definitely. We just returned last week and did this one day. Went to MK early and walked on rides, then resort for swimming, then used FP+ at a different park later on. Worked great!
