FP+ and changing resorts

Are your FP+ reservations linked to your tickets or your resort reservation? We are considering switching resorts and I'm wondering if that will do anything to our FP+. I'm mostly concerned about this because I just got off the phone with Disney and she mentioned that if she was able to switch my resort reservation (she wasn't, but I'm going to keep trying) I would have to go into MDE and input the new reservation number to make sure everything updated. Now I'm concerned that if I switch resorts I'll lose my FP+ reservations. I would've just asked her but it didn't dawn on me until after I got off the phone. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Actually both I think, as you can't make them without tickets but the system knows if you are onsite or not.
