FP+ After the First Three - What? When?

I am sure someone will have a map but in the meantime...when we were there in JANUARY, there were kiosks by AT MK near Mickey's Philharmagic, the walkway between Country Bears and Adventureland, and Town Square Theater. I can't speak to if they have added more locations. I also can't speak for the other parks. We "stayed true" to our FP+ we had and did not change anything (before the addition of the additional FP+).

If you go to the Disney World website and look at the interactive maps, the kiosks have been added as a feature and have their own icon.

Even if you only pick 2, the system will automatically pick a third one for you. So if you don't care about the third, schedule it for a time when you don't need it. Like if you will arrive at the park at 10am, schedule the first FP+ (the one you don't want) for 9am. Then the time will pass and it will expire. Once you then use #2 and #3 (the ones you want), you will have completed the requirement and can now get a 4th FP+.

Once you use (or let expire) all 3, you can get another Soarin' FP+, even if that was one of your original three (as long as a time is available).

What I did is cancelled both my Tier 2 FPs in advance. So, when I walk into the park the only FP I am holding is for Soarin. As soon as I use that at 10:00, I will head to a kiosk and attempt to get TT or another Soarin. I've read that this strategy works, as the system shows that you aren't holding any active FPs, so it will allow you to book an additional Tier 1. If anyone else has tried this, I'd love to hear what your experience was.

When getting your 4th one we always had to use a kiosk. You aren't able to do it on your smartphone or anything like that. There were a few lines backed up, but most of the time the wait was about a minute or so.

With that said, editing is easy once you book it. Again, you can change times or attractions, but like someone else mentioned, you have to use the same tier if you choose to change your options around.

I think fastpass will be great during low crowded times but not sure if it will during crowded times.

So, can you use your phone to change the time or attraction after getting an additional FP? We're going in July and I choose our 3 FP rides on the first available day. No FP for parade or firework spots or lunch at Be Our Guest were available. There were a lot of attractions and meet & greets available. Would have loved a firework spot!

We were in the parks 5/11-16. Had no problems moving attractions around and loved how the magic bands worked. We also moved attractions up as soon as we finished one. The only place that didn't work was Epcot. Worked all all the other parks.
I was very pleased with how everything worked out. I was pretty worried about it and we had no problems at all. We were able to book additional fast passes after our first three as well.

Thanks for the info! Were you able to get a fourth FP for headliners? If so, what time of day were you trying? I'm just trying to see if I need to revamp our plans :)

Whole new system to learn.

I always get park hopper now wondering if it is worth it. If you have fast pass for 1st park use all 3 you have to wait until you get to the 2nd park to get fast pass there? Wonder if anything would be left or do I get to 1st park at rope drop and use fast pass for 2nd park?

I am leaving in a week and have been busy with school and work and only have a couple fast passes.

Hope I won't be waiting in long lines in the heat with DH who does not really want to go. dragging him along to my convention.

Thanks
Ellen

From what I've read, it depends on the park. It seems like many of the MK rides are fairly doable to get later in the day, whereas things like Soarin might not be. Therefore, if you're doing MK in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon I'd do standby at rope drop in the MK and then use FP at Epcot.

Granted, I haven't used the system yet so this is just based on what I've read. We are actually planning to do something totally different than we've ever done and spend mornings at the resort and not go to the parks until later in the day. We'll see how it goes!
