FP + advice needed for group of 12

I'm a teacher taking 10 students to WDW to do a few YES workshops. One other teacher is coming with me. We're staying at All Star Music so I plan to book our FP+'s at the 60 day mark.

I've read a few times on here that people in a group have a hard time finding FP+, particularly for Anna and Elsa and for the Mine Train. Is that true? Several of the students are dying to do the Anna and Elsa meet and greet; any tips on how to successfully book FP+ when 7 of them all want to do it?

And everyone wants to do the Mine Train; so same thing there, any tips to make sure I can secure FP for it for all 12 of us?

I think Anna and Elsa will be an issue as it for most parties.

Mine train might work but require creative splitting as soon as your window opens. I have succeeded for mine train several times for 6 people at my 30 day window checking between 6 and 8am--whenever I think to look. So maybe doing it in 2 groups of 6 will help.

For Anna and Elsa, I would just plan for rope drop and expect a shorter wait..and by that I mean an hour or less. Unless you are onsite and get lucky at midnight 60 days out--I think that may be a lost cause in terms of getting a FP+.

I booked for 12 people in October (moderate crowds) and was able to get us all a FP for 7dwarfs for the same time with no special tricks or splitting into smaller groups. I did look for the FPs at midnight on my 60th day and checked for 2different days of my trip that we planned as Magic Kingdom days. Our first MK day was 61 days away and I had only 3 choices of times for all 12 of us; our second planned MK day was 65 days away and we had many times to choose from. By midday the next day I had one or two choices total of times I could possibly change our FP to. So definitely being online at midnight and having more than one possible day to choose from will help. I'm guessing yo're going in summer and it will be even busier than when I went, so possibly looking for 2 groups of 6 with times that overlap may be necessary for you.

I didn't need Anna and Elsa, but I did look, just for grins and saw no times on any day for an entire group of 12. I understand it is still a degree of difficulty higher than everything else, and would assume you may have to look for times near each other or overlapping for a group of 3 and a group of 4, or even 2, 2, 1.

I had no troubles for my group size for any other ride we wanted in any park. I think Toy Story Mania in DHS had somewhat fewer choices available at first, and did run out entirely well before our trip, but on that day 60 I got it no problem. Also, if you're not a night owl, I did book only the coveted 7dwarfs (and 2other FPs for that day, because you do have to select your initial 3 all at once) at midnight, then went to bed and came back to complete the rest of our trip choices late afternoon the next day.
