FP+ 60 Days Out - Midnight or Next Morning

My 60 days out falls on a night when it will be somewhat difficult for me to make our fastpass reservations at midnight. Does it really make a difference if I wait until the next morning? Considering that I would only be "competing" with others having the same arrival day (and we arrive on Thursday 2/19), it does not seem like it should make too much of a difference. Thoughts? Oh and I am going to be trying for one pair for A&E and 4 for 7DMT (for 2/23 or 2/25).

My assumption is that there is likely no hard or set rule seeing how on my 60 day mark I was able to get everything I wanted at 4:30 a.m. (Eastern time zone) for the hard-to-get items (Elsa & Anna, and 7 Dwarfs), while other people were online the same day at midnight and didn't get what I did. Somehow I got real lucky I guess? Obviously the earlier the better, but I don't think that midnight is going to guarantee you success.

Good luck with it and I hope you have an amazing trip!

I did mine at midnight and the system was so slow it took me an hour and a half to book 8 days worth of fast passes. However I will say the times for the seven dwarfs mine train were already limited. That said for the next trip I'm planning just to do it when I get up in the morning for work since I get up pretty early anyway.

Don't forget that your day 5 is day 10 for somebody that started booking 6 days earlier. For my December trip, I was initially unable to get 3 A&E in the same time slot booking at midnight 60 days for my day 5. After some scrambling, I was able to get 3 overlapping slots. By the next morning, even those were gone.

Do what you can to get into your window ASAP. I'm finding the FP+ reservations for A&E and 7DMT harder to get than BOG ADRs.

I just made mine last night. I waited until midnight, but it turned out our window didn't open up until 1:00 am. It seems it might have something to do with MK being open until 1:00 am that day, that the window didn't open until later. It was a common problem. I got everything I wanted, but I wasn't trying for A&E. I got 4 days of 7DMT, and had no problems changing around times.

I scheduled the in demand rides/days first. I went with whatever time the system gave me, which was mostly afternoon/evening times, and then changed the individual ride times later.

If I were doing it again, I'd probably just get up early and do it, especially since I had to wait until 1:00 am anyway! Wait, maybe I would just stay up...It's Disney, it's crazy the things we do!

I scheduled at midnight/60 days.
I scheduled A&E and 7DMT with tons of openings for a mid-January trip.
I was too excited and worried to wait for a non-midnight timeframe.

Good luck with your choice!

I was only able to do FP+ at 30 days out...did it for a party of 10...didn't even try for 7DMT or TSMM, but managed to get everything we wanted...I'd guess it depends on your needs, time of year, and size of your party if those few hours really make a difference.

I would imagine that you would have better chances of getting what you want if you have a longer vacation (10+ days) and you pick the harder to get FP+ choices toward the end of your trip as their would be less people you would be competing against.
