I've been in broadcasting 35 years, I have no clue how they got their jobs.

It's because his daddy was really good. Too bad he isn't.

We have really good announcers here in the Bay Area, so it's especially irritating to listen to these goofballs.

(sure like the outcome ot the Series though!!)

I don't normally watch sports on TV, but I watched all of these games because it was the Rangers. What were the announcers doing/not doing that made you not like them? I'm just curious. I don't know what makes one good and one bad unless they are glaringly awful, stumbling over their words, etc.

I actually liked the "look" of the coverage of the Rangers/Yankees on TBS better than the way FOX looked for the World Series. I guess it was the camera angles, but it was easier for me to tell what the pitches were (balls, strikes) before they were called by the umpire.
