:umbrella: The sky is falling - the sky is falling!

edited it out because I'm NOT CONSERVATIVE ENOUGH.

No, wait - it's just the bull$#it falling from the conservative's news channel.

Ok, I'm all for fun and games. As one of I am sure many conservatives who loves Disney and these boards, this is getting a little too close to a personal attack. Not to mention I'm sure there are minors who read these boards.

Like I alluded to earlier, if there's anyone who thinks that Fox News is the only news source that exaggerates when it comes to natural disasters, I have some ocean front property in Arizona I'd like to sell you. And if you do think so, you obviously didn't see the NBC story with its reporter in a canoe reporting on the floods in New England, talking about how bad it was. Suddenly, two guys went walking by in the ankle-deep water.

You have to admit, Fox news is a little over the top.

Maybe it's my own conservative bias, but I do find Fox news more "fair and balanced" than the other television news sources.

:umbrella: okay while I don't want to get involved in some type of attack for or against the political views of Fox News, I do have to say that many people including myself are very thankful for how much FOX News covers when it comes to Hurricanes. I am from Louisiana and Fox News covered Katrina very very well and while my electricity was out for a week with Rita I heard they covered that well too. So while some of you might not agree with its political views please appreciate what it did for hurricane victims. While many other news channels forgot about us after a week of so Fox News remained loyal.

I believe they were simply reporting that certain parks in Florida had damage, I don't think they went overboard at all.

Watch any cable news channel during the hurricane and you will see the EXACT SAME THING. They all cover it the same way, which is over the top I believe. Fox News just decided to put something on about the Central Florida theme parks. It was probably about 5 seconds during their coverage. They weren't overexaggerating the situation, they just simply stated that there was damage at the theme parks, that's it. Fox News has never implied that the "sky is falling." Look at the headline: "New video showing damage" at the theme parks, which, oddly enough, happens to be true.

It is has nothing to do with FNC being biased or anything. I don't think they have an anti-Disney bias. In fact, I would say MSNBC would be more likely be anti-Disney because they are part of the Universal/NBC conglomerate.

Getting around the filters is a banable offense. Good thing you edited it out. Maybe you'll be safe but who knows. Anyone can get banned for a minor offense without notice.

All news shows do what Fox News is being accused of.

I love FOX news!!! If I'm not wrong, they are rated #1 still!!!!!!

I hated to jump in, but someone started the personal attack against Fox and
I just had to voice my opinion!!

What over exagerating? Isn't it raining? Isn't there a hurricane in Florida?

I think the OP is over-estimating the report.

It's all George Bush's fault.

J/K. . .couldn't resist that one after everything else.

I'm glad to hear damage isn't that bad. I hope and pray that there aren't too many injuries statewide.

fox is heavily republican and they love to embellish danger.
>>>What does being"heavily Rebublican" or heavily "Democratic" have to do with embellishing danger. I should think danger is danger. regardless of your perceived political affliation.

Huh? Since when did the two have anything to do with each other?
ALL news stations sensationalize to get ratings. Hmmm, what about when one of the heavily democratic networks rigged a car to explode so they could have a story about how dangerous it was?

I saw the report... it was basically a blip on the whole state.... they happened to have film from the Orlando area ... really nothing outrageous reported...

The thing I find interesting it that when we visited in May ... there were whole sections of trees lining the roads inside WDW that it was apparent that the trees had REALLY taken a beating.... I could only think that this was from the hurricanes the previous fall.. which told me they must have had a LOT to do, as they hadn't addressed the trees by May.

Heavy winds are going to cause damage - DisneyWorld is NOT going to be immune to it.. why in the world are people so very upset that any news channel would cover that there was damage?

It's your own Conservative bias.

Why would they open Animal Kingdom? It only stays open 'til 5. Did Fox's indepth reporting miss that little tidbit?

I saw that NBC story! I couldn't stop laughing! And it was funny watching Katie try to figure out what was going on :rotfl2:

The news also reported that the disney parks would be closed for the day. When they were asked to run a correction, they said they would run it tomorrow.

:rolleyes1
