We are thinking of taking a trip next year and staying at the Four Seasons after staying at one in Hawaii, we are now addicted. When I look at our dates, booking our room on the Four Seasons website and then buying tickets separately on Disney's website is $400 cheaper for the week, than buying the room + tickets from Disney's website. Is this common?

If we booked the room through Four Seasons website would we still have access to 60 day FP+ reservations? And when you buy tickets separately do you have access to Fastpass on the app? And does anyone know how Dining reservations work with Four Seasons? Can you make dining reservations 180 days out for the whole length of stay? I'm guessing not. Thanks!!!

Generally ... if you Phone the Hotel direct you will get a cheaper quote ( and loyalty points )

than going through the likes of trip advisor or booking .com

Yes, it's quite common. Although you can book some third-party hotels/resorts through the Disney website, that tends to be the most expensive method. Essentially, Disney only offers a standard rate for third-party hotels. But if you book direct, you can access whatever promotions match your dates of travel.

If it's cheaper to book the room and tickets separately, go to it. There's no downside.

You will need to provide your Four Seasons confirmation number to Disney in order to gain access to FastPass+ and Extra Magic Hours. More information can be found on this stickied thread that hiroMYhero created:

For Disney World restaurants, you'd book your reservations online at the Disney World website. I'm almost certain the ability to book for the whole length-of-stay is reserved solely for guests staying at Disney Resorts. (Hopefully someone can confirm that fact.)

We have stayed at the Four Seasons Orlando several times. You will get the EMH and 60 day FP benefits no matter who you book with, you just link the resort reservation with Disney/MDE when you buy your park tickets. If you stay at Four Seasons properties for at least a few days a year and do not have Amex Platinum, I strongly suggest getting the card - it gives you access to the Fine Hotels and Resorts program which gives you a room upgrade, 4pm guaranteed checkout (and priority for a 12pm check-in), free breakfast, and a $100 resort or spa credit (FS Orlando is a spa credit) per stay. The annual fee for the card pays for itself in these benefits alone after a 5ish night stay at a FS property, and there are a ton of other perks that come with the card as well.
