Hi everyone!

I logged on to the DIS just to say hello. I was thinking about everyone today and how much I miss the DIS and the TK'rs. I am not sure how often I will be on over the next couple of weeks.

WOW! How about that lady in PA? And we thought WE had a problem with Disney addiction.

At least she picked a great place to stay. Don't think she was there long enough to get her money's worth from the refillable cups though...

Hey pepper!!!! How are things going besides busy? I've been right there too. Never enough time anymore. Are we still on for the 14th? If you got stuff going on, it's cool. Are you still thinking of coming to the tker meet?

When I first started watching the show Kate didn't really bother me to much, and actually i thought in the first season, Jon seemed to give it back to her some, then all of a sudden he became this weak yes man and she took over like crazy. I keep thinking to the episode where they renewed their vows in Hawaii and how they kept telling the kids this is to show you we are always staying together forever and ever. I really wish they would make it, somehow put it back together. Even if they have to step out of the spotlight. I love watching those cute kids but maybe it needs to stop.

OH my! It just took 2 minutes for this reply box to load. This is getting ridiculous.

LITC, I use to watch J&K but she just got too overbearing for me. I love the kids and think they are so cute but I just can't take her at all. She talked about doing the whole party by herself? Wasn't she out on her book tour while Jon was "home" with the kids?

They both let fame and freebies go to their head. Even if they can't save their marriage, they need to step out of the limelight for a while and thing about those kids. They do not need cameras around while life as they know it falls apart around them.

I agree that she especially has let it go to her head. I think they both started out with good intentions, I really do, it's a shame what it turned into. And with this just being the beginning of the season those cameras are going to be around for awhile.

I guess I really got turned off the show after the episode in Disney. When she freaked about the ice cream and the kids getting messy. Maybe I'm just too laid back about that kind of stuff. Sure, I'd love pictures of my kids looking perfect while meeting the Princesses but it isn't going to happen. To me, ice cream on their shirts and faces means they are having one heck of a good time. I just can't see getting soooo upset about something like that.

She reallly was being stupid about that. Shouting They're ruined", are you kidding me? No they are most definetly NOT ruined. They had a little bit of ice cream on them, so what? Not to mention they were there with the show so I bet if they pushed it they could have had 8 brand new outfits in a jiffy.

Then people make me mad that they have the nerve to complain that J+K get freebies. REALLY? You dont say. And what "cekebrities" don't? Have these people ever watched cribs? And these cocky celebrities bragging about how they dont have enough room to keep all the freebies companies send them? WHATEVER!

I won't single J&K out for the freebies. I think it's wrong for any "celebrity" to accept that kind of stuff. They are all rich....what do they need free stuff for? Could you imagine the good they could do if instead of accepting the outrageous gifts for appearing at the Oscars or some similar type of thing, they said take the money you (the advertiser) would spend on me and donate it to a women's shelter, children's hospital, or for job training? Sometimes it seems like the more they have, the more they want for free.

Ev, yo stranger!!!! How are you doing? When does school end for your kids?

Not sure what happened to my computer time lately...don't seem to have any. Our kids are in school until June 25th...so I've still got almost a month of peace left...they go back late this year though...school doesn't start up until Sept 8th!!

DS is off to a sleepover tonight so Tod suggested DD have a friend over so I'll have two screaming 7 year olds...better get out the wine!!

Good morning everyone! glad to see we've all been checking in and it seems that we're having better days lately--thank goodness!

I went and got Dad last night from the airport. He's been gone two months, and he comes back bald! Seems he went to the "barber" who just took it all off. Mom's very upset about it! Its aged him a lot. Otherwise, he had a great vacation and we're glad to have him back. NOT thrilled driving in the crappy weather yesterday. It was either misty/foggy or a downpour. But its over.

I have a baby shower tomorrow. Strangely enough, I haven't been to one in ages. Do they still make you play silly games? I hope not. Its for my friend whose baby has some heart issues. But it looks like surgery after the birth and hopefully everything will be fine after that.

I watched Jon&Kate, and found it so sad. You could completely see the tension onscreen and I cannot even imagine how it must take its tolls on the babies. It about broke my heart to hear the little one tell Jon not to go away again. Sadly, its true though. A lot of marriages break up, and that's the reality. I've found Kate truly overbearing and she just makes life so much harder than needs be. I've read that Childrens Place provides the clothes for free so why is she so crazy about it? I just hope she donates the clothes when she's done. I also hope that they realize just how blessed they are and share some of their benefits. Perhaps she needs to take the time and watch the episodes from the first season and just see how far they've come.

Racer! I can't believe you're leaving so soon! Hooray! I hope you have great weather down there...I so look forward to hearing about your trip. My half day at US last month really whet my appetite to visit again in September. BF really wants to see BMG again so maybe we'll pencil that in.

Ev-Tell Tod that's he's Jon and you are Kate...He has to stay home and watch the kids and you can go on tour! Don't think it would really work either but worth a try!

If someone wanted to give me freebies, I don't think I would turn it down if it was something I liked....esp a WDW vacation. About the ice cream...let us remember that Kate's the one who has to stand and treat these stains before they get washed...you may not get dirty. And of course they may not use markers.

So, if TKers ruled the world:

School would start at 11 am

Kids could get messy with Ice Cream at Disney and no one would care.

Celebs would give their freebies to a charitable cause.

Jon and Kate would go off camera and let their kids be kids.

And some racer would always win (I cant keep the names straight).


Sounds like it would be a pretty good world!!! You guys just crack me up! I totally agree with all the J & K stuff. She seems a bit overbearing and snarky to me, but still no excuse for him to stray. I understand WHY they took the show--gotta pay those bills somehow. But save away as much $$$ as you can so you can STOP doing the show and live a normal life at some point! No way you would catch me airing my dirty laundry on TV! I always said I would love to have Super Nanny come help me with my kids, but not if it meant going on TV for all the world to see. No way, no how!!

I spoke with camp and they do have space for DS for the first session. called the ex and he is SUCH a wimp! He wants to know what DS thinks about it. WHAT??? i dont really CARE what DS thinks--he is going and that is that. But I have to see what he says and then call the ex and we will discuss it. I told him either DS goes to camp or DS goes to the ex's. His response? "if he comes here he plays by MY rules". Fine with me! As long as he is out of MY hair, it will be fine. Save me lots of money to send him to the ex, too. But i am betting DS will choose camp. he is not stupid!

I've figured out why I have nothing to say. I don't watch the right TV shows. I don't watch many reality shows, just Biggest Loser, Survivor (I keep saying I won't watch it, but I do) and Amazing Race (when I remember). Just not interested in extra large families. If I'm in a particularly nasty mood I might watch AI to watch Simon be mean. Once they're down to decent singers I lose interest.

DL55...you're a better person than I am. I watch far too much television! I watch the Amazing Race and catch episodes on TLC. I'm actually waiting for Big Brother to start this summer. I like to poke fun at people and you really see the dirty side of human nature on that show. It doesn't hurt that they get some real eye candy too!

Yeah! I just checked my Fantasy Baseball and I am FINALLY not in last place! It may not last for long so I'll enjoy it now!

Wendy, is DS going to the camp up near me? Or the one in Pa? I would pick extra time at camp too...sound like a great way to spend the summer. (I never went to camp but always wanted to. Got shipped to Vancouver every summer to spend with grandparents)

MK, he is going to the one by you, and only for 6 weeks, since the ex talked him out of the 8 weeks by telling him all the fun things he would miss those 2 weeks. JERK!!!! Now I will never get him to take DS, he will come up with one excuse after another and it will become my problem. well guess what? if he pulls that, I will tell him he cant use my beach house this summer! HA!!! DL isnt the only one with a snarky side!

Racetrack I am so jealous--8 days to paradise. I have 56 days til Scotland. TOO LONG!!! But I am VERY excited. Today I packed everything I will be taking for the trip, as a "dry run". It fits just fine in my medium suitcase and carryon!! YAY. I am packing VERY light. As long as they dont lose my luggage I will be OK. Even if it arrives late it will be a problem, as my kilt will not be in the carryon, and I need that the first night. Well, I will just have to take the chance. My regular clothes are WAY more important!

Of course, I would have room for both if I didnt have to bring all these stupid dressing supplies...
