Good evening everyone. It seems that a lot of us have checked in this weekend so hello and big hugs to all of you!

Beware! There is an epidemic around here---babies! I went to a baby shower yesterday, had breakfast with the most beautiful toddler and my cousin had a little girl this afternoon! The shower was for a dear friend of mine, a friend since high school, and the shower ended up being a sort of mini-reunion. It was so nice to reconnect with some amazing women who I grew up with...but the stories of pregnancy, childbirth and baby rearing were really eye-opening and toe-curling!

Racetrack, I am so sorry to hear of the sad news of cancer. I know your family will find strength in each other in this trying time. As always, full prayers and best wishes from my end.

Wendy--what are we going to do with you? You must get better! Hope the wound care center works out and you bounce back with a healthy you!

D&D! I can't believe my postcards got there so soon. Glad to hear the boys liked them. I look forward to meeting all of you in July.

Marie...how is the kitty doing? I'm trying to transition my brood to a new box and I don't think its going well. I'm with you on the prom dress situation....some of them are downright indecent! And they will be forever preserved in lovely prom photos....periodically Pinecone sends me an email looking for new members. PM your email address and when I get one I'll send it to you.

I'm with everyone on the wine thing. I want to like it, its sure seems like everyone else is enjoying it, but its not for me. I like those fruity alcoholic drinks with fruit in it--give me a sangria any time or a midori sour. Yum!

Cherries are on sale this week! I can't wait to go get some tomorrow. I've been enjoying mangoes all weekend. Fruit just screams summer to me.

I'm a bit miffed at BF at the moment. Yesterday at the shower, one of the girls was saying how she felt so intimidated by how smart the others were. I was telling BF about it, and he was like "well, that's how I feel around Chris. He's so smart." and I said, "you don't think I'm smart?" and BF answers, "you're smart....(pause) but Chris is like a GENIUS in science". What? My two bachelor degrees and my graduate degree don't impress you? I was so mad. I'm sending BF to Chris when he has aches, pains, or any other sickies.

Ok, rant over. Girlfriends/wives/significant others are just so underappreciated.

Oh! I'm so excited that Flat Me is going to Scotland!

Hi DL55! I've been waiting for someone to come and play! Truth is, the weekend really flew by and I just can't get my Monday head going. How was your weekend? oh, I can get my good morning in too!

I've forgiven BF for his foolishness, but its not forgotten.

Busy getting ready to have the in-laws for dinner, it's MIL's birthday...made DH in charge for BBQing Beer Can Chicken.

Ev, what are "Crunchies"?? Never heard of those. I love KitKats though! My insurance does cover the doctor--so far I have just seen the surgeon, the one who did the hernia repair. My plan is a Wound care center. I think I may not wait til DSis gets home. I may call and see if they can get me in this week. The sooner I start, the sooner I finish, and maybe I can salvage my trip.

Crunchies are sponge toffee covered in chocolate...yum...we have them here but the British one's are much better, same with the kit kats.

OK I wanna do Napa Valley with you guys...since no one seems to wine I can drink it for them!!

marie I will go check my PMs for the photos. As far as plants, I would probably pull out the plants and leave the weeds! Glad the kitty is doing better. You HAVE to post a photo of the collar and shaved sides!!

MK, just slap that BF from me! Men are so clueless!! I totally agree about fruit saying summer. I just baked a strawberry-rhubarb pie! When I used to drink at all, it was always some sweet drink like a Strawberry Dacquiri or a Fuzzy Navel. Anything to hide the taste of the booze!

Ev, the Crunchies sound interesting. So weird that stuff tastes better in one place than another. Perfect example is Cadbury. I LOVED Cadbury when I was in England back in the 80s. We practically lived on their Fruit and Nut bars. When I came back to the States, I was so excited to see them in our store, and promptly bought some. YUCK! It didn't even taste like the same thing! But thats OK, since I am a Hersheys girl anyway!!

OK, so I guess I will need to bring some cherries with me to Hershey. Someone else can bring the wine. BTW, there are just 48 days til we get together!! Someone needs to do a ticker... (not me, I already have 2 going!)

DL55: I'm an HGTV addict myself...my house looks nothing like the afters though. I do a lot of wishful thinking. Did you see the new one where people are remodeling their house and they kick off a couple each week? HGTV gives them a carpenter and money to do it and they are judged. I think the title has $250,000 in the title...that is how much they win.


mariezp: Hey! Glad you caught up. I don't think I should see the pic...sounds like if I got caught with it on my computer I could get in trouble for child porn. I had a friend bragging about her daughter and I was amazed the school let her in the door at the prom. It just blows my mind what parents allow these days. Glad you got your kitty back. Does she always roam around? I bet she sticks closer to home now. Thankfully you had those ebay profits to pay for her.

racetrack: I won't bug you about Kyle now. Praying for your family. I know how hard cancer can be. They are making such strides taking care of it nowdays. There are just so many kinds and ways it can affect you. It's just a scarey disease. Who ended up cleaner? You or the dog?

DL55 I love HGTV too!! I dont get to watch it much, but I love all the ideas on there. When we redid our house 6 years ago, much of it was inspired by things I saw on various HGTV shows!

Thanks you everyone for the prayers and well wishes for stepmom. I know they have made great advances with the battle against cancer and I tell myself that all the time. My mom has been battling cancer for 8 years now and frankly, I'm just sick of it. I HATE cancer!!!

I swear I don't know where the day goes anymore. DH is out of town again and it's really starting to get to me being home with the kids with no break whatsoever. And they are annoying each other like crazy because it's the end of the school year and they all just want to go on vacation. I just dyed my hair to cover all the gray but I think I have a hundred new ones just from the last day or so.

I went to help stepmom pack today. She and my dad are going to Vegas for a few days. My dad was originally suppose to go for a day or 2 for a bowling tournament. Now it's turned into a quick getaway for them. I really hope they enjoy themselves.

Ok, so what are we doing about the new thread. I only have a couple of days left, ya know! I'm going to come back and be so lost. I know, I know, I"m usually lost but it's going to be so much worse.

Wendy, are you trying to drag out this 1500th post or what? And I've had a Hershey ticker for a while too. It's the last one in my siggie.

D&D, I'm sure you've mentioned this before, but do you have a camper? And what kind of drinks are we having? I do have a weakness for margaritas.

M&N, it was nice to see Jr do a little better this week. I still think they need to do whatever they can to bring back Tony Sr. He always worked best with Jr..

Whoever brought up the idea of sending the kids off to ride the coasters while we have a nice cold drink gets a from me. Though, I might have to make a round on the coasters with them just to get my thrill fix.

At least you didn't say, speak of the devil! I didn't notice anyone post after me before I got off...I usually show up Mondays. I went shopping and out to eat with Mom and a friend today so I didn't get home as early.

I think Jr acted a little happier this weekend. It's just unreal the pressure that guy has. It sounded like they wanted to blame him that the attendance was down...said whenever he's not doing good, not as many people come to the races...get real. That may be true that the attend is down but it isn't just because of him.

But of course my thrill of the weekend was Little KB. He lead the most laps in the truck race and lost it! He lead a lot, if not the most, laps in the Sprint race and lost. And of course didn't win the Nationwide either. Then when he bad mouthed Jr, I was extra glad.

KB only did so bad at the race since DD6 and I didn't get down to Dover to watch the race.

Say all the bad stuff you want about Kyle. He'll still make the chase and it looks like he's getting all his bad luck out of the way right now, instead of during the chase like last year. It's time for his championship.

Someone can have my wine too. I've never tasted any that I liked. The only time I got mildly drunk was on wine and then I was just a little dizzy. It just makes my face get hot.

Racer---it's great for the in laws to get away together for a few days. And you know we would never let you get lost...a little confuzzed maybe...but never lost.

New TK thread title....Well, it has to have TK in the title...and we cannot get it mixed up with the other thread...and this is our 5th thread.
