OK, I won't make you wait. Crummy picture (cell phone) but the better ones are coming!

I read the smut books and I love them! Every month I'm in the book aisle at Wal-mart looking for my Harlequin/Silhouette fix. I do admit that sometimes all that smutty stuff gets in the way of the story and I always wonder why my DH isn't like those HOT guys. Maybe I should get him to read them so he can get some ideas. ;)

Man does my throat hurt today. It was fine this morning but around 3:00PM it started to feel yucky. I had to work today so maybe I yelled at the kids too much at school. But then again, DS7 was home sick from school so maybe I got something from him. I sure hope not. He was hurling big time last night!

Wendy! Have a fun and safe trip!

Oh my goodness Wendy! You are wasting away. You are tinier than when I saw you and red looks great on you. Have fun packing those itty-bitty clothes of yours!

For young readers, I read the Phillip Pullman Golden compass trilogy while waiting for the next Harry Potters to come out. I really liked them, but some people didn't like them as much (I actually like them a little better). But in regards to content, nothing racy! He also wrote other series that I think may appeal to your daughter, his characters tend to have a central heroine.

I've also read some of Neil Gaiman's stuff for young adults. He wrote Coraline, which was made into a movie recently. They get a little scary, but some kids are into that!

Hey all!

Happy Easter to everyone.

Let's see...smut books. I like the harlequin/silhouette, but I prefer the romance/mystery. I love writers such as Heather Graham, Karen Robards etc...right now I am reading Vanished by Karen Robards, it is really good.

Wow Wendy, you look great!!!! I don't really have any excuses anymore ha ha. I got my elliptical, I got a Wii, now all I need to do is use em'. :lmao:

Not a lot going on around here really.

Disney5, good to see ya. I have not been on the computer as much as I should be either.

Oh by the way. Did anyone ever watch Jericho when it was on? I have become addicted to it on Netflix ha ha.

WooHoo!!!! You are looking awesome!!!

As far as the books for DS, I'll look through what I have around here. What kinds of books does he like besides Harry Potter? DD doesn't read anything "girly" so I'll ask her from some recommendations. And I have the same problem with her....finding something that is on her level intellectually but not too mature. I don't have any ideas at the moment for your DD. But she is reading and that's what important.

D&D  That's so wonderful that your DS made the choice to take out chapter books. It does give you a special feeling when they make a significant step on their own. Sometimes it just overwhelms you.

Yep, we'll be eating deviled eggs for the next week. Egg sandwiched, eggs in the kids lunches and the list will go on and on.

disney54us, see, I knew I shouldn't take you out of my siggie. You have a great Easter too!!!

Pikester, sorry you are getting sick. Hope you and DS feel better soon. Even if I did read the racy novels, I still don't thing they would help DH. Well, unless they have pictures. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Racetrack, you may be on to something here! Smut books for the ladies, with pictures for the men! While we're at it, maybe make a coloring book version for some creative inspiration (wink, wink).:rotfl2:

My BF wouldn't complain about my need to read before bedtime, and maybe he wouldn't be a baby about going into the bookstore with me. As it is, I have to bribe him with something from the coffeeshop. I smell a new business venture to fund our Disney habits!

Whgn - Looking good girlfriend! Lookin' good!!!
Okay... I'm still dying to know where you're going on vacay???? Tell me tell me!

If I could find books like that, DH wouldn't roll his eyes everytime I start a sentence "Hey honey, I'm reading this book and..." :lmao:

Yeah, DH use to complain about going to the bookstore. Until I started going to one with a Lowes, sporting goods store and until a few months ago, a Circuit City in the same shopping center. And when I'm feeling really nice, we go to the one near Sears and Pep Boys. Bribery works well on men too.

OK, here they are, the "good" pictures.

The first 2 are the doorway shots:

DS informed me after taking the pictures that I looked "gaunt". Where the heck does he learn these words????:rotfl2:

Holy patootie Wendy! You really blew my socks off when you put up those comparison pictures. You should totally be on the Today show! They have those before/after shots and yours are amazing! congrats, congrats, again. What an accomplishement.

You and the family have a safe trip and a great vacation. We'll be thinking of you....with envy! Enjoy the Caribbean for all of us!

nothing much happening my way except that I'm totally freaking out about my trip at the end of the month! I've been so busy the last few weeks and I really looked at the calendar this afternoon and I'm leaving so soon! I have all the technical stuff taken care of, although I'm still hoping for a stupidly cheap rental car rate to come out. I have to pack more than shampoo and conditioner!

hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Hey wheres everybody been? Hope everyone is well. Just trying to enjoy my day off here, gotta work the second job tomorrow. So bummed, Hopefully I will get out in time to be able to catch some of my family at the dinner they are having.

I'm tooling around on here, LITC! Trying to get some info before OUR trip at the end of the month! Seems crowds lately have been heavier than expected, which I hope isn't the case for us!

sorry you have to work tomorrow, but hope you enjoy today!

Hey Kitty--I know I just looked on touring plans and the crowd calender is an 8 every day I am there except the second day which is a 9!!!! I hope we can do the things we want to do. I thought we'd have great low crowds with the economy and everything. I know how bad we are stretching to be able to go.

I completely agree...things are tight on my end too, but we'll make the best out of it! Also, I'm not used to going with younger ones, so it'll take some adjustment for that. Today I made a list of "extras" I'm bringing---like microwave popcorn, poptarts, and coffee. Just some way to save some greenbacks!

Regardless of the crowds, we'll just have to adjust and enjoy away! I'm so looking forward to warm weather!!

Exactly, we always take lots of snacks with us. It will help to that since we are staying with my sister and her family in the same room, which is concierge, we can go up to the lounge and get free snacks and pop (soda) during the day, which is a total bonus. I hope we at least get to try Soarin and Toy Story since those are brand new and will have the biggest crowds.

Hope everyone has a Happy Easter. :)
whgrn You look great! :woohoo: You deserve to have a great time at the beach. :beach:
Pikester I hope you aren't getting ill.
Hi Disney54us :wave2:

It actually rained enough to leave puddles today. :faint:
It is exciting hearing about everyone's plans for Disney. :cloud9:

:lmao: My DSis says I should be in People Magazine. I've not done anything that lots of others haven't also done. But thanks you guys for your enthusiasm!!

I packed this AM, all except the last few items. Which will include my ridiculously expensive antibiotics, because my knee incision is looking ugly, and the stomach one is absolutely looking infected. Probably MRSA again. When does it end??? It better not screw up my vacation!

Actually, American Airlines has done a pretty good job of that. I planned my flights VERY carefully--chose American out of JFK (YUCK!) because it was the only direct flight available. Scheduled to leave from JFK at 7:05 am, arriving about 10:30 am. Returning from T&C, leaving about 11:15 am, arriving at 3 pm. Well, I got a notice TODAY (less than 48 hours in advance!!!!) that the flight down is now leaving at 8:40, arriving at 11:50 (not a really big issue), and the return is leaving at 8:15 am VIA MIAMI with a 5 hour layover, getting into JFK at 6:25 pm!!!!! ***???? We will have to be at the airport by 6:30 am. No breakfast. getiing into Miami, going through customs, we'll be lucky to have "brunch" by 11. And what the heck are we supposed to do in the Miami airport for 5 hours???? The whole idea was that we would have breakfast at the resort, fly home, and get home before dinnertime. School resumes the next day. I'll be lucky to get the kids in bed by 10, and that's assuming our flight is not late! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!! :furious: I will so NOT be flying American again!

Happy Easter to All!!!

Was able to get outside today and clean up the yard a bit. My tulips are coming up nicely and my day lillies are beginning to poke through. :yay: Can't wait to get planting, :hyper:but that will be quite a few weeks yet.

DL55: Yeah on the rain that leaves puddles.

whgrn: Have a great vacation. Bummer about the flight changes. I can't stand American Airlines. :headache: Never have anything but headaches flying with them. Hope the time change is your only worry.

LITC and Kitty - :cheer2: Your vacations are almost here.

The egg coloring went well last night. Only 1 cracked, but not bad enough we couldn't salvage. My mom is coming over for Easter dinner tomorrow. We're going to have a quite Easter at home.

My DS6 lost his first tooth today.

He was so excited. Looks the the tooth fairy and the bunny are going to be visiting us tonight.
