Good Evening Ladies. Long time no chat. These last few weeks have been h**l. With inventory, classes on the internet DH and I have been getting in over 50hrs. We are so tired and greatfull at the same time for our jobs.

Pikester has been keeping me posted on some of the stuff that has been happening. I had a chance to read some of the posts. Thanks for asking about me. I wish that I was on a vacation. Hopefully real soon we will make our choice of which cruise we will be going on.

whgrn~ Have a great time at T&C. Please bring back some nice weather :sunny:

MagiKitty~ I see your turn is coming up soon.

LITC~ I know that you will have a great time.

I hope that all of you will have a blessed Easter.

Chat later.

Hope everyone has a Happy Easter. :)
whgrn You look great! :woohoo: You deserve to have a great time at the beach. :beach:
Pikester I hope you aren't getting ill.
Hi Disney54us :wave2:

It actually rained enough to leave puddles today. :faint:
It is exciting hearing about everyone's plans for Disney. :cloud9:

I'm there! My head is so stuffed up it's hard to breath. I've done nothing but lay around all day. I wish I could do the same thing tomorrow but the Easter Bunny will be stopping by tonight which means the kids will be up earlier then normal. Plus I have to go grocery shopping. I won't be able to do that until after the kids see their Easter stuff. I usually get to the stores between 7:00am and 7:30am but who knows when I'll be getting there tomorrow. I hope it's not busy.

So, where does all the snot come from?!

Just in case I don't find time to get on here tomorrow

Hey Guys!:wave2:

Early Happy Easter.
I've been torn between Facebook and here. Dang, ya'll are good at the apps on that site! I am still pretty clueless on how to work facebook but am still trying.

Wendy have a great trip.:goodvibes You look great. I still think I keep finding the weight you've lost-so you can cut it out now:hug:

We are expecting rain tomorrow so I will see if my rain barrel installation was good enough.

I closed out the band fundraiser on Thursday and made enough money to buy the band a computer with the Smart Music system(my goal) so I am really happy about that.

I hope Sring is making it's way to my friends up North and you will be out in your gardens and sunshine soon.
:flower3:

Good evening Bopsmom!

I can't figure out Facebook either. I know that people do more than just post messages and stuff but I can't seem to figure out what to do. I'm always getting all kinds of stuff sent to me but I have a hard time keeping up with it.

Me too! I try to send stuff and hope it gets there. My friend said I sent her 3 things one time and I don't know how that happened. :confused3 I worry that I am leaving someone out but, considering I only have about 10 friends, I just "click all" and send stuff.

I haven't done the IQ test for fear of looking like an idiot.

Evening!!! I had a busy day today. Went to Target and got the kids new swimsuits. Of course DD5's is too big. I have to try to exchange it for a smaller size. :sad2: I wish I could do that with my clothes....I usually have to exchange for a bigger size.

I have facebook figured out ok now. I know people talk about playing games against their friends and such. I have no clue about that. I don't always answer all my requests either. Sometimes it seems overwhelming.

Nice to see the whole "family" returning to the TK fold for Easter! Hope you all have a great day with your families.

For me, it will be a day of peace and quiet, maybe some reading or websurfing, bookended bya morning of insanity and church (the insanity part is getting the kids up and dressed and fed in time for church, with the added fun of Easter baskets AND telling them we are going to PARADISE!!! They are gonna go ballistic! Then they go with the ex from right after church until about 5:30 when he will return them to me. Then it gets REALLY fun--dash around getting clothes changed, make sure all the electronics are in the carryon bags, etc etc.) I THINK I have everything packed now except their iPods and PSPs, all of which are currently charging., my cell phone and charger, which I won't pack until the morning, and the flat iron hair thingy that DD and I need to use in the AM, so after church when it's cooled down, THEN I'll pack it. Then we are all set. I remembered to dig into the toiletry cases to pull out toothbrushes and one little tube of toothpaste, for tomorrow night at the hotel. Pretty sad that my bag of liquids contains a sunscreen stick for the face, a tube of toothpaste, and a tube of antibiotic cream! Not too dangerous there, huh?

Well, I'd better go hit the sack...my morning's coming WAY too soon!!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!

Wendy, I hope you and the kids have a wonderful time. Y'all certainly deserve it. Take lots of pics and make sure you post them "somewhere" for us when you get back. Happy Easter to you too!!!

And just in case I don't make it here tomorrow. I know, I know....not likely :lmao: but....

May all my wonderful friends here have a happy and safe Easter.

And don't eat too much chocolate. Remember it's suppose to be for the kids. :rolleyes1

Wendy - You look great...Bon Voyage. Looking forward to lots of pics.

Anytime anyone wants to try scrabble let me know...it's my Facebook addiction.:rotfl:

We have a quiet day planned...kid's were up early (6:45) as usual so have found all the eggs and are full of chocolate. My mom is at my sister's so we decided to blow off the whole dinner thing and have snackies in front of the TV and watch the Masters...DH is very happy!!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Happy Easter!
Poor Pikester  I always wonder where all the mucus comes from also. I start to think that there can't be anything left in my body but snot. :lmao:
whgrn I bet the kids are excited now! Have fun!
BKMETV Yep, watching the Masters is always an Easter tradition here. :rolleyes1

The kids were stunned, to say the least. And DS's response? "I wanted to have a playdate with B." I told him he was welcome to stay home so he could have his playdate, and he said "point taken". :lmao: Amazing...

Everything is packed, including my camera, which will be well used--tons of photos will be coming your way next week! I also had pix taken of us at church this morning, so I'll post those as well.

I already ate my Easter candy--such a healthy lunch! A little bag of M&Ms and a couple of PEEPs. The Hershey Kisses are of course put away in the cookie jar to be enjoyed individually on a nightly basis.

Have a great week everyone. I'll miss you! I will have my laptop with me, but I don't know how much time I'll have to be online. Maybe at night when the kids are going to sleep and I'm stuck in the room. In any event, I'll have a full report (including food porn!) next week.

Oh, BTW, my knee incision is definitely infected. so I'm back on the ridiculously expensive antibiotics and hopefully that will clear it up. Meanwhile, if you have a line to the Man upstairs, please put in a good word for me! (how was that for a totally PC way of phrasing my request??):lmao:

See ya!

Is Wendy going to Disney??? I am so lost. I thought some other park but may be thinking about the summer trip??

Sorry to hear about the infection-take care of yourself!!!

I'm confused????:confused3

She's off to Turks & Caicos...a surprise trip for her kids.

Thanks, that is a great place to go!!! I wish I was going. I get so confused about who is going where these days.

We are still playing around with where to go (if anywhere) and what to do during the holidays.

Happy Easter everyone! caught the early morning Mass today, Father Ed sure did it right for the "big show". No chocolate here, sadness.

Silly questions, but regarding the Easter Bunny...is he like the Santa of chocolate? is there some story I don't know about? We never did baskets or anything. Just enjoyed the candy if it came my way. Same thing with the tooth fairy...just some money for a lost tooth? Why is it done?

The more I ask these questions of BF, the more he claims I didn't have a childhood. I never trick or treated either.

Have a wonderful trip Wendy and family! What an awesome surprise. Keep working on American Airlines...maybe they can get you on a different return flight.

Pikester, I don't know where all the snot comes from. isn't it amazing though? Hope you feel better!

I'm with all of you on Facebook. I don't know what I'm doing. Both Wendy and Racetrack have "tagged" me in something or other, but I don't know what to do about it. Ev, if you can teach me how to play Scrabble, GAME ON!

The family has decided to take a weekend to take my visiting family up to Niagara Falls next month. I will be driving the fun, cool car with my twins and older nieces. Once near the border, my twins and I plan to shake the rest of the family and jet up to Toronto Saturday night and crash with another cousin. Secretly, we're using him to catch a show of some band that they love, and I am using to recapture my youth. It is still the planning stages, but I have a passport and my brother's car, and I am not too old not to pull off some demented scheme like this. And there's always the Maid of the Mist to be had.

Easter is much bigger than it used to be. I just remember a chocolate bunny and egg salad for the rest of the week-weird colored egg salad at that. Since my BDay was always around the Easter holidays I got a dress and shoes for my Birthday(I think that was a ripoff since I would have gotten these for Easter anyways:rolleyes:)

I think Tagging means there is a message in your inbox-check and see.

No chocolate????call FEMA!!!!

I love how you say you will 'shake' your family. We call that 'ditchin'' them BTW. It think you need a soundtrack for the concert adventure-perhaps Mission Impossible theme or Get Smart.:goodvibes

Evening!!!!! Had a very non-exciting Easter. Kids didn't even wake up very early which is good since I was up late making the baskets. They didn't get much this year. A little candy, some dollar store toys, and a travel magna-doodle for the little ones. They can use those on the drive to Florida. The older 2 got gift certificates to the local theater.

My grandmother use to go nuts with Easter. My brother and I would go home with about 10lbs of candy each. We never even came close to eating all that. My parents were much more laid back with everything. Guess it's because they knew what was coming.

Facebook....when someone tags you in a note, they usually want to read their note. There are usually instructions at the top to copy and paste their note into a new one of your own. Most of the notes I have received are question and answer types. So you would copy their note, delete their answers, and add your own. You can tag the original person back or send it on to others. It's kind of a neat way to learn new things about your friends....especially the one you only talk to over the web.

When I was growing up the Easter Bunny would come and go. Sometimes we had a basket with a chocolate bunny, stuffed bunny and maybe a little toy. Other times we got zilch. My Dad went through a faze where we got chocolate crosses and I may have gotten a pretty necklace once. When my sister and I got older my Mom would hide those Hershey chocolate eggs around the house for us to find and then we would split them. We use to color eggs but I hated trying to peel them when they were cold and it grossed me out when the color leaked into the egg. Then we went through a stage when we melted those plastic sleeves onto the egg. They had different designs you could use. Now that I have kids we don't do the egg coloring but we do leave out the chocolate eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide.

I was just reading about where the Easter Bunny came from in the paper this morning. It talked about the religious part of Easter and brought up that the first mention of the Easter Bunny was in Germany in the 15th century. It was also in Germany, during the 1800s, that people created the tradition of making chocolate bunnies to celebrate Easter. When German settlers crossed the Atlantic to Pennsylvania they brought their traditions with them. The Easter Bunny would deliver brightly colored eggs to good children-and eventually brought more then eggs.
