I'm usually pretty squeemish about that stuff too. But ER never bothered me. I think it was because I was just too invested in the characters.

I don;t know for some reason I can watch that, but like we were talking about the other day, I can't watch people eat weird things or anything.
Plus do you ever watch any of the CSI's? Oh my god, the stuff they create.... so sick.

Nope, don't watch CSI but I heard there is some pretty gruesome stuff on there.

I don't even watch horror movies. At least nothing that's blood and guts. And DH loves those. (yuck, yuck, yuck). So, he never gets to see any of them in the theaters.

Now, if it's a classic type scary movie...I love them. I could watch the 6th Sense every day and never get tired of it.

OMG, CSI has gone to far in my opinion. Sometimes I have to turn away. I don;t watch horror movies either. Mainly the gore of them but I also feel like if you've seen one you've seen them all-at least with the "new" ones.

And it seems as though there are a lot of remakes. Me, I'd rather just watch the original especially if it was a really old movie in black and white. Creepy is good....gore just isn't for me.

I had thought I wanted to see The Last House on the Left. Previews looked like it would be something that I could relate to as a parent. But then, I read the reviews and it's suppose to be really gory. Throws that one out too now.

Maybe we'll just break down and go see Escape from Witch Mountain. That looks really good too.

I think escape might be a good one. If I am unsure of a movie I request it from the library. I get really mad if I go to the theater and I dont like a movie And honestly-most movies end up being a dissapointment to me at least.

We've been using that Redbox rental thing in the stores. It's only a $1.00 so it's not too bad. We only get about one every other week or so. We tried Netflix for a while but it just wasn't worth it for us.

The last movie I saw in the theater was Enchanted. DH took the kids to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua when it was out.

We do like to go to the drive-in. We actually have couple left around here. That's is where we can get the most bang for our buck. :rotfl:

The last movie I saw in the theater was Wall-E. We really don't go that often. I should try that redbox thing. I can swing 1.00 for sure.
I would love to go to a drive in. Closest one I know is in the sticks kind of near my dads house so probably about an hour away. But a good place for it, not to much traffic or street lights to interfere.

The closest one to us is about 30 minutes away. I think it's only about 7 bucks for adults. And since we are cheap, we always bring our own food. :rolleyes1 They get movies on their opening weekend too. The first one is usually a more family friendly movie and the second more adult. It's perfect for us since the little ones will fall asleep right after the second one starts. So it works perfectly for us.

Good deal, especially for two movies, and I would bring my own food to!!
Well Race, it was wonderful chatting with you tonight, but I have to face my mother-in-law in the morning so I better get some good rest! Talk to you soon!

Ooo, it is late. I didn't even realize it. The saying is true that time flies when you are having fun.

Remember to take lots of deep breaths tomorrow and it's only one day. :rotfl2:

Catch ya later!

Night!

I didn't even notice that. I'll have to wait until M&N gets back to make that post. Look for it on Monday. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Night again!!!

Hey ladies:

Sorry I missed the ER chat last night...I thought the show was good...what do people expect. Clooney only did it as a favour and because Marguliese (sp?) had agreed...it's not like he needs the money or anything. They were basically just wrapping up and showing that Doug & Carol lived happily ever after. I thought the Benton thing was right on too...he was always and *** but always seemed to look out for Carter. But then it seems no matter what people won't be happy.

Hey all, hope everyone had a good day. I slipped up and broke lent. :sad2:
Otherwise a good day overall.

So what did you give up for lent?

Night again!!!

So does that mean your limiting your chatting this weekend??:rotfl:

It's a beautiful sunny day here and even above freezing...bathroom floor is down, walls are painted...hubby is a work all weekend...DD is at a party all afternoon. I think I'll take it easy and do a whole lot of nothin'....hope everyone has a great day.

I think you told us what color family you were looking in but I don't remember if you said exactly what the color is. So, what color are the walls? (If you did mention the color please forgive me.:upsidedow )

I heard if you go to Redbox.com and sign up, they have codes for free movies on Wed. during March. I haven't tried that yet, but intend to. We don't rent movies enough to do the Netflix thing and soon our Blockbuster will be gone. :guilty: Our library has some good older movies (past 6 mo) to rent. However, if you want a newer video then you have to go to a rental place.

Nice day here. Sunny and warmer. DS6 is feeling better and asked to play outside.

Got our family picture taken this morning.

Let me tell you...it is sooo hard to get yourself ready, and then 3 other people as well. Make sure hair is combed, kids are clean, and clothes stay looking nice until we leave. DS10 hates to dress up and got angry that I made him wear a nice shirt and pants. Proceeded to tear a hole in his shirt and then rip off the button from his pants :headache: all in the 5 min before we had to leave. I went crazy!!!!

He always seems to cause trouble for others when he doesn't want to do something. What am I going to do with that kid????

Hi everyone
D&DDisney  nothing constructive to add :rolleyes1

Just discovered my tax return has been deposited. Too bad it's already earmarked (also only a few hundred).

Good afternoon ladies! How is everyone enjoying the day? Its sunny and bright here too...supposed to get to mid-40s.

Ev, it sounds like a perfect afternoon!

LITC, what did you do to break Lent?

D&D...sorry about the clothing tantrum earlier. So nice that you take family pics. My family is terrible at that. It will be a wonderful memory years from now when you tell you DS what a pain he was that day getting dressed for the picture!

Dang! I forgot Battlestar Galactica was on last night! That show is ending too. I only have two more shows left. I hope they have a marathon or something before the series finale.

I'm sad to see ER go. I remember when it first came on. That year was the year of medical shows. Fox had one called Medicine Ball, CBS had Chicago Hope, and NBC had ER. I was a junior in college and all of us pre-med nerds got together to watch them. We were suffering through organic chemistry and really needed a boost for our pains. We thought all wanted to be residents like that, with hot doctors and lots of excitement.

I put off buying my Disney tix until tomorrow. I was hoping that the Mousesavers newsletter would have some ultra-amazing promo for tickets. Otherwise, I'll just have to bite the bullet. I keep telling myself this is a trip of a lifetime for my nieces and it'll be all worth it to see their faces as we walk down Main Street and see the Castle for the first time next month. I'll just ignore the credit card statement for a little bit! :rolleyes1

Yep...just ignore the CC statement and remember the magic. :wizard:
