OK there are advantages to living with a type A personality but sometimes he drives me crazy!!! Last week he announced that this spring he would like to redo the bathroom...great. Then he decides to do it on his 10 day off stretch at the end of April...fine. Wednesday he buys a sink...Friday he arrives home with toilet and flooring...now I have no downstairs bathroom...it's gutted!! What the heck happened to April?? :confused3

I'm still trying to wrap my head around choosing a paint colour!!

Anyways that's been my morning so far...thank good it's warm so the kids can be outside.

Oh and Pike your it!!...from one of your 'fake' friends!!:rotfl:

But Ev, at least he's doing it. I can't count how many times DH has said he would "fix" something around here and then have an "emergency" happen. Usually with his truck. You know...."honey, I found this part I've been looking for forever. And I really should go and get it before someone else buys it." Of course, the part is 2 hours away and till he gets home, he's just too tired to fix whatever he was suppose to fix. I hate his truck!!!! :rotfl:

Has anyone seen Magikitty lately?

BKMETV If he's anything like a typical husband he will finish it up during those days in April. In other words no bathroom until the end of April. :scared:

I guess it's time to go to the store and get tons of paint samples.

Tag, back at you!

Hello everyone! Its beginning to warm up around here, although its pretty overcast and you can't appreciate the temps.

I've been MIA for a few days now due to computer problems. Or rather, my own ineptitude! I got my Garmin (two out of the three, actually) and made the mistake of opening up Garmin 360 and fell in love! I wasn't planning on keeping him, but he is just too cool. Anyway, while downloading new maps and POI--I got the Mousesavers Disney one!--I managed to mess up my computer big time. I still don't know what I did, but I think we're recovered nicely.

I've named my Garmin Mr. Darcy. He's lovely.

LITC...did you see this week's issue of Us magazine??? There's a story of Jon Gosselin in there, how apparently he's been hanging out at college house parties!

What happened? I posted too soon.

I did see some stuff about American Idol. I tried, I truly did. Too many people still. Can't commit so many nights per week to it.

Ok, have to go back and read about what's been going on....

Be back later!

Ok, I'm back.

D&D....so sorry about the job news. I know the economy sucks, but its still early in the year and hopefully things shape up enough to provide a job that fits into your schedule.

Oh no! Sukie and Pikester cancelled our summer visit! Are you sure? Do I have to give up hope right now?

Ev, congrats on the new bathroom in progress! Maybe if you wait long enough, DH will pick up some paint and you won't have to worry about it! We redid a bathroom a few years ago. Choosing the stuff was lots of fun, picking it up and getting it to the house another thing. And waiting for the flooring to "cure" or whatever its called was a difficult thing. Tell Kate "bon chance avec" her speech!

 Aw, Racetrack, you noticed I was gone. I just can't wait to hug you in person.

M&N...how you feeling? Trip's coming up real soon!

I have to buy Disney tickets this week. (waiting for new billing period). Should make me excited, since its the last thing I need to take care of aside of packing, but the idea of spending that much money just bums me out. I also need to get to the Disney outlet sometime soon and buy the nieces some shirts for the trip---its so much cheaper there! And it'll be nice for them to have their shirts for their first day.

Mr. Darcy, huh? I take it you are using the British male voice? I named mine Allistair, becuase he just sounded like one. Now I use my phone and it is some nondescript female voice. *sigh*

US magazine is barely one step above the National Enquirer or the Star. Take it with a grain of salt. When you see it in a reputable magazine, you can worry about it.

It is 70 degrees here right now! I have my back door open. I went for a walk to the end of the driveway. Such a treat!

Enjoy the day!

Hi Wendy! We're not nearly as warm as you are, but it does make you hope that spring is finally here!

My Garmin's British voices are already named Daniel and Emma, and a third just called "British". I definitely prefer a male voice though. The female voice is too soft and it annoys me. She doesn't sound like she knows where she's going, rather she's making a suggestion.

Friday is trashy magazine day. I get Us and Entertainment Weekly. Yes, I realize that they are not the most reputable of publications, but that's what the NY Times is for! I do like to snuggle up on the couch and go through my magazines with some tea and a cookie.

Yum Mr. Darcy...my very favourite is Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice....

Afternoon all. It was 50* here today :woohoo:

I can't believe that my DH wanted to go shopping today. Breakfast and then off to the city to shop. I didn't get any big deals like last time. However that didn't stop me from going to Michaels and JoAnnes. Lunch was at Olive garden and then we were going to stop at Boarders.

When we were heading home we decided to go the back way. It got pretty rough going, the roads are awful. Since I was doing the driving it reminded me of when Pikester was little and was learning to sound words and put them together. We were heading down to my grandmothers and we were seeing those florecent signs everwhere. Pikester said "mom where is "Forest Heavens". They were signs that said "Frost Heaves" :rotfl2: DH and I both couldn't stop laughing.

D&D~ Don't forget that when one door closes, another one opens. :)

BKMETV~ I love construction. Isn't that what spring is all about? What kind of Harley do you folks have?

Pikester~ I got the "BOOK".

whgrn~ The warm weather was just what you needed.

I am living vicariously through you folks. MagiKitty, M&N, Pikester and my friend from work. Watch out "MICKEY" here they come.

:flower3: Ladies think spring!

Don't forget to set the clocks ahead!

Mmm! Colin Firth! Absolutely the best Mr. Darcy ever! Although the last Pride and Prejudice version with Keira Knightly was excellent. Its the long coat and the boots...

I also love Becoming Jane, about Jane Austen, played by Ann Hathaway. Lovely movie. Heartbreaking, though.

I just found out the other day that Emma Thompson married Mr. Willoughby from Sense and Sensebility. Its just so romantic.

Thanks for the reminder to Spring Ahead Sukie! Glad to hear you had a great day! Hope you have a better evening! And that goes for everyone!

mmmmm yummy.
I love all of them!!!!! I can't get enough of Jane Austen--I was even reading the Jane Austen Mysteries series a year or so ago.
I like Kenneth Brannah too See him in Much Ado About Nothing:faint:-Emma's first hubby.
I was watching S&S with DD yesterday and she was naming all the actors in Harry Potter from the cast....too funny.

OK Ladies I know I have been absent for the last week- it has been crazy-now DH says he wants to go to a new company---:scared1: in this economy?????
DH was in San Fran this week the valley last-we have seen him 1 day in 2 weeks- he missed DD first band concert (and was in tears about it)
I am spearheading a fundraiser for DD's band
She is in a new school (public) as you all know, that has been going through a lot of changes- her one band director teaches at 3 schools in the area each day (thanks to the cut in Liberal Arts programs in school:sad2: )

I am going to post the email
I am sending out to friends and family and you can read it and go on. If there is anything you want to order that would be great if not that is fine too. If I didn't post this shameless promotion I wouldn't feel I was doing my part to help the kids.:lovestruc :goodvibes :flower3:

Sukie - Congrats to your hubby! :thumbsup2

I think they brought her back for the ratings...but I'm assuming the American public will toss her soon enough...it does suck not being able to vote...we don't get to vote at all so I have to hope that my fav doesn't get the boot. I haven't decided yet who I like...last time I picked MK's boyfriend David right from the start, but this time no one has stood out so far...has anyone else got a fave yet??

I'm looking forward to a quiet day...DH has gone to Toronto to pick up a new seat for his Harley so won't be home until late afternoon, kids are at school...what will I get up to?? ;)

Hey Ev, sorry we chatted on so!!
As far as Idol goes thus far, I'd say my favs so far are Scott and Danny.
And hey-if you ever want to cast a vote let me know, I'll do it for ya!

I feel your bumness! Kids just need that extra help so much. We'll just pray you'll make more money subbing. Maybe you can get a long term one. Any preggie teachers?

:lmao: Loved your tshirt idea...we could get a lot to boo Racetrack around here.

Have a great weekend everyone. Don't forget to spring ahead...

Thanks for the reminder, I completely forgot!

No Kitty--I didn;t see that. I used to subscribe to that magazine but it seemed like a slightly glorified Tabloid. I'll have to see if they have it at any of the million stores I have to stop at tomorrow to get all my shopping done.

:wave2: Bopsmom!! My flowers are still blooming and looking beautiful! Everyone comments on them, and people are amazed when I tell them the person who sent them is soneone I've never even met!

If I didn't already have a kitchen FULL of PC stuff I never use, I'd check it out and order something. But I put a ban on PC awhile back becuase it just takes up space in my cabinets!!:rotfl:

Hey everyone!!!!! What a beautiful day we had here today. It was close to 70!!! :woohoo: Sent the kids outside for the afternoon and I enjoyed the complete peace and quiet.

I even let DS and DD13 take the little ones to the playground a couple of blocks away. No mishaps and they came home exactly when I told them too. I am liking this new way of our home life.

DS and DH had a boy's night out tonight. They went to drive go-karts. The go-kart place makes you get a "license" so that they know that the drivers know they rules. Anyways, as soon as DS came home, he had to show me his license. It was nice.

Magikitty-of course I noticed that you weren't here. And right back at ya about that hug. I'm so excited about this meet.

D&D, didn't see you today but wishing you luck in tomorrow's race. :thumbsup2

Bopsmom, did I miss the memo about how DH's are suppose to make sense? Didn't think so. :rotfl: Seriously, I wish him luck in whatever he wants to do. Or should I say, in whatever you want him to do. :rolleyes1

HI LITC, sukie, Pikester, Ev, DL55, whgrn!!!!!
