Did you look up the NASCAR pick results? I went from 1st to last--or 43 for the Vegas race. I am picking Jr for Atlanta.

Atlanta is a big track and fast. I'll have Jr and Stewart on my list this week. I think Jeffie is due for a win too.

I didn't do too good either. Not here and on the other fantasy racing that I do.

Hey! Racetrack, I guess the question now is how does he look with the mohawk?

Scranton isn't THAT bad...ok, so maybe it is. But The Office makes it look so glamorous! And yes, I take 84 to Scranton, then take 81 down to somewhere...all I know is that I pass a whole bunch of signs about Hershey on my way to DC. So its there somewhere...

And I recognize the Harrisburg skyline when it doubled for Llanview on the One Life to Live opening credits all those years ago.

Way back, maybe 35 years ago, I went with friends out to eat. I knew we were in Harrisburg but it's not a place I frequented. Anyway, we come out of the restaurant and I see a building all lite up. I ask, what's that? Everyone laughs...it's the capitol building! So I guess I would not recognize the skyline of Harrisburg on tv! :lmao:

Magikitty, I haven't quite decided yet. I need to get over the shock of this first.

I can't remember the last time I was even in Harrisburg. I think I was till in high school and my dad had to clear something up at the DMV. I don't think I would recognize the skyline either.

Waltrip is looking good so far this year. He did say that if he can't be competitive this year, he's done racing.

Happy Square Root day!

Good morning friends. Bright and sunny out there, but still in the teens. At least there's no snow in the forecast. (I just checked. I lied. Its a big 9 degrees out there)

thanks M&N for the info...once we have more definite plans and everyone figures out their schedules, I'll look into lodging!

Racetrack, does the mohawk look any better in the light of day?

Not very much to say, just wanted to say hello.

I'm going to the fitness center but had to wash my hair first. It was all over the place. I think I combed it yesterday. I figured I would just stick a hat on to shovel so didn't bother. But let me tell you...the worse job by far today was plucking those eye brows...how can they grow so much?

Keep warm.

I don't remember seeing this guy before...

Is he doing what I think he's doing?

Hi M&N! I think that guy is supposed to be freezing his butt off but it just looks like he's pooing to me.

Of all my beauty schemes, I hate plucking my eyebrows the most. I avoid it at all costs. I never do a good enough job, and its never even. I get mine waxed, but not nearly as often as I should. Have you had your brows threaded? I think its the best way brow maintenance out there. They pull the hairs by the root and it looks so good and it lasts. The only issues is having someone so close to your face when they do it!

Afternoon!! Cold and windy here but what else is new. But it's suppose to warm up during the week until it almost reaches 60 on Saturday. :woohoo: Can't wait!

Magikitty, haven't seen the mohawk yet today. DH leaves for work at 5:30 and I am sound asleep. But he'll be home soon so I'll take a better look then.

Okay PA experts...

How far is it to DC from the Hershey area?
We want to hit DC, Philly and Hershey during our trip. What is the best place (city/town) to stay that is centrally located?

OMG!!!!! DH just shaved his hair into a mohawk!!!! I think he has officially hit his mid-life crisis. And now he's talking about dyeing it with blond highlights. Where the heck has my husband gone?!
:scared1: At least it's a cheap midlife crisis, could have bought a Corvette. ;)

I think he's freezing his butt off or his diaper had a blow out. :rotfl:

I won't mention how warm it is here. :rolleyes1

DL55-He might not have bought a corvette but he's got a pick-up he's working on that's nothing but a money pit. :rotfl:

D&D-I did a quick map search and Lancaster might work for you. 45 minutes to Hershey, 2 hours to DC, and a little over an hour to Philly. Not sure if there are any campgrounds around there but I'm sure M&N will be back later to add her expertise.

Thanks Racetrack! I'll check out that area.

Just have to share...:teacher:
I am giving standardized tests to 2nd graders today. It is so cute to watch their little brains working. Been using every trick in the book to get them to stay calm and focused - sucking on candy, stretching exercises, water, etc. Some of these little ones who have ADHD are actually doing pretty well (all things considered) today. Very proud of them as some of these questions even I have to think about before answering.

So is a Corvette. :lmao: It does sound like a midlife crisis.:flower3:

D&D...good luck to your second graders!

Racetrack...just hope that the crisis is over! The day is still early, I think the car dealerships are still open! :lmao:

I am the proud orderer of not one, not two, but three GPS systems! I've been thinking about this for a while now, and the offsite Disney trip and the TKer meet pretty much sealed the deal for me. So I've been shopping. I liked the one I saw at Radioshack.com, so I ordered it. It was the same price as the one on sale at Target this week, so I ordered that one too. I figure I can get both and return the one I like less. But then I saw that the better version (with text to speech) was CHEAPER on samsclub.com! So I ordered that one too.

Apparently, the first two orders were "in process" already (!!!) and I can't cancel them. So I have to wait until they're delivered and then send them back.

I just hope the CC company doesn't think I'm crazy. My BF already does. But since he was being a ninny and not letting me "borrow" his (which I gave him for Christmas), I got my own. And its better than his. So ha!

I also saw on Mousesavers that you can upload Disney POI (points of interest) which will be great for next month!

Well, we had about 12". The kids had a 2 hour delay today. So weird to sleep in until 9 and then they leave for school at 10.

The nurse came today to take out my staples. Yay! Now I'm just waiting for the physical therapist to call and schedule. It's been a week since my last PT...not a good thing!

We stayed at the Summerfield (or was it Springfield? Some season or other) Suites. Right by World of Choclate. Quite nice. Free breakfast. And having the suite was good--little kitchenette, which was very convenient.

I am so excited about the TK meet!!

Hi Tk'rs!! A meet at Hershey Park sounds fun to me!! I have not been there since I was a kid. It sounds exciting

OMG, MK you missed tickets to see your hubby? He should have given you front row, center for free. You are without a doubt his BIGGEST fan. The nerve.

I am watching AI tonight. There is a girl on there from Va. Beach (I can't figure out which one ha ha)

Whew, all these trips everyone is taking I am starting to lose track. DC, Philly DISNEY, Scotland??? Man, I need a new career ha ha.

Racerchicky- A mohawk??? ha ha. Oh well, like they were saying, could have been a corvette ha ha. Although a corvette would be kinda fun.

I will be over on the AI thread if anyone pops in tonight. :goodvibes

12" and only a two hour delay? ha ha. 12" would have shut down our entire city. :scared1: As it turned out we only got a dusting. Suffolk was hit pretty hard (for our area) They got 3". School here was delayed 2 hours, but Suffolk got the day off...lucky ducks ha ha.

Yay on getting the staples out!!!
