Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

Am I the only one or do others find that no matter how wonderful the resort, the park or even the food it is the people we meet at DW that we remember the best?

I love the pics of the kids being kids. Snapshots beat posed professional pics any old day. Lots of fun was had that day and without anyone getting nekkid too!! :rotfl:

Slightly Goofy/Linda (Hi JO!!)
Linda you're so right the girls still talk about the friends they made in August :goodvibes

:rotfl2: How did I miss that? I'm sorry. I think I thought you were in the back with the girls. :guilty:
That's OK, sneaky of me getting out of a swimsuit shot hey :rotfl2:

What a fun dis meet!!! The kids look like they were having a blast....

7 snack credits each!!! How fun that had to have been!!!
It was great fun Tanya and yes the girls loved those snack credits, actually we've still got some of them in the cupboard!!!!

great pics of the meet. it looked like so much fun. I am so jealous of people who get to go on meets they really seem like fun.

Really???? Was I there?! :rotfl:
::yes::

The girls and I caught a bus to DTD where we were going to meet DisneylandMama (T) and her children Maddie and Evan. We had a wonderful bus driver who said that as we were the only ones on the bus that she was our own personal chauffer and she would take us exactly where we wanted to go!
Ding dang! Where was she when we needed a lift to SSR?
Then poor old Jess got attacked by a falling tree cone which landed on her shoulder and made quite a mark!!!!
OMG! I forgot about that - she did get quite a mark didn't she? Poor sweetie took one for the team that morning!

So we asked a nice man for directions, well he was from the North of England and T just didn’t have a clue what he was saying it was hilarious but luckily I understood and we soon found the pool :rotfl2:
It was so funny - I felt like I was in a foreign film or something! :lmao:

T was a bit worried about Maddie and Evan not having life vests on so her and LL went off to get some leaving me in charge of 5 kids  This really showed how close we had all become chatting on the DIS boards that they felt comfortable enough leaving their kids with me!
I didn't even have a second thought about it! Just goes to show how close we all had become even prior to our meet. :grouphug:

After what seemed ages, I now discover they may have stopped for a sneaky smoke, they returned with vests so we could all relax!
Yeah, I'm pleading the 5th on this one. :rolleyes1

Well we waited and waited and waited some more :rolleyes1
And waited, and waited, and waited...... :rolleyes1
:rotfl2: LY V!

619.jpg

Yep that’s Maddie nearly under the water :rotfl:
:rotfl2: She can't wait for that next year!

Now if you don’t know, T is famous on the DIS for her “What not to wear” photos and OMG did we wish we had had our camera handy on the boat, there was a lady who looked incredibly scary she had big dark outlined lips, big hair and bright orange nails, I kept looking over at T dying to say something and trying not to laugh :rotfl2:
OMG!!!! I completely forgot about that lady! Wasn't that hysterical??? It was very nightmarish - for sure! :scared: But I couldn't pull out my camera as she was sitting like 2 feet from me and there was NO WAY I could pull off a "random" photo.

Our first stop was Goofys and I let the girls spend 7 SC’s each, they thought this was wonderful and spent ages choosing exactly what to buy. I bought 3 pieces of fudge, cookies & cream, pineapple (strange I know but delicious) and vanilla, I didn’t finish it all until I was back in the UK! T was busy making pretzel rods or something and Evan had fallen asleep so we said our goodbyes until later!
That was cute, your girls were so excited running around the store showing me all their goodies. They were like ..... well kids in a candy store. :lmao:

I know my gang is really looking forward to seeing you all again next year. Maddie talks about the kids all the time! :goodvibes

Ding dang! Where was she when we needed a lift to SSR?
We could have done with her couldn't we :rotfl2:

OMG! I forgot about that - she did get quite a mark didn't she? Poor sweetie took one for the team that morning!
I think it hurt more than she let on too!!!!

It was so funny - I felt like I was in a foreign film or something! :lmao:
:rotfl2:

I didn't even have a second thought about it! Just goes to show how close we all had become even prior to our meet. :grouphug:
I'm glad you felt like you trusted me

Yeah, I'm pleading the 5th on this one. :rolleyes1
Uhhhh :confused3

She can't wait for that next year!
So sweet :goodvibes

OMG!!!! I completely forgot about that lady! Wasn't that hysterical??? It was very nightmarish - for sure! :scared: But I couldn't pull out my camera as she was sitting like 2 feet from me and there was NO WAY I could pull off a "random" photo.
I wish you had managed it but she was sitting so close to you it would have been so obvious :rotfl2:

That was cute, your girls were so excited running around the store showing me all their goodies. They were like ..... well kids in a candy store. :lmao:
Yep :rotfl:

I know my gang is really looking forward to seeing you all again next year. Maddie talks about the kids all the time! :goodvibes
Us too and when I tell the girls about going to WDW in August and meeting Maddie again they are going to be so happy :cutie:

and we had 2TS, 14CS and 26SC’s left :faint: we needed to get eating :rotfl2:
HOLY COW, I thought we had alot left on our trip we had 2 days to go and 9CS and 17SC. You got us beat by a mile:rotfl2:
As she was so kind I gave her a Cadbury’s chocolate bar which I had with me
My favorite chocolate is cadbury fruit and nut. I cant eat them any longer as I am allergic to nuts:sad1:
I would stock up when in England or make a co-worker get me lots of them. For some reason the ones from England taste different than the ones here in the US:confused3
so I had the bright idea that we could walk, well it wasn’t very far was it! :lmao: Now I know this is Florida in August but it seemed like a good idea at the time, until we went the wrong way :headache:
Not the best of ideas Jo:rotfl2: :rotfl2:(JK) I cant believe you all made it in that heat
Then poor old Jess got attacked by a falling tree cone which landed on her shoulder and made quite a mark!!!!
Oh NO!!
So we asked a nice man for directions, well he was from the North of England and T just didn’t have a clue what he was saying it was hilarious but luckily I understood

we did a quick dash back to CSR to get ready for tonight!
cant wait to hear about the "sober" version. This is going to be good:lmao:
Oh and you must tell us if David was really overseeing your meet from the lobby!!!

Love all the pics of everyone, especially the kids being silly. Looks like they all had a fabulous time. I have to work on DH to try for next Aug.

Jo, did you catch that compliment where sharkB8HooHaHa said that she could not tell you from your kids? No better compliment than that UNLESS she was commenting on your maturity level. :rotfl:

Cadbury chocolate is the best. That was one of the bad things about the time I spent living in the States, no Cadbury chocolate. I was in heaven when I could get my Cadbury again.

What a fun dis meet! I can't believe how many credits you had left! I hope you started eating!

Ok, I've finally gotten caught up on the great pool invasion and should be getting ready for work right about now...well, 10 minutes ago, actually...

Loved the pics...I had to go back and look when I read SharkB8's comment!!

I'm not sure I remember hearing about the "tree cone"...don't even know what one is, to be honest, but do recall the story about the guy from England...I found it funny that someone from England had to translate...well, English:rolleyes:

We had a great time with all of you and I soooooo can't wait to do it again!! Michael had so much fun!!

Looking forward to hearing the sober account of our night too!!!

Well, sort of....:rolleyes1

My favourite is Dairy milk and Ummm I have to have some every day

It does doesn't it, someone once said it was something to do with your milk :

It was me, I think it starts :teacher: from the grass the cows eat and how much it rains which affects the milk produced. One of my clients goes to London once a month for work and is bringing me back some Flakes and Buttons :goodvibes

I'm a Lindt chocolate girl ... especilly the Lindor truffles.

I LOVE those too DM, sooooo good! My favs are the white and milk chocolate.

Montana Disney Fan, they make low carb choc covered nuts?? What might the calorie count be and do you get more than 1 1/2 nuts per serving? I eat a low carb energy bar to get my daily chocolate intake.

Jo, my husband has always talked about guys who knows who carry a card 'certifying' their mental instability. Always made me wonder about the folks who have not been 'certified; yet. Would not life be easier if we each had to carry a card that listed our abilities and disabilities? Would save so much time. :rotfl:

boysmom5150, I have a vague memory of fruit and nut chocolate bars. They had to have been responsible for at least 25 of my unwanted pounds. 108 or more gone now!!

SG/Linda

Cadbury chocolate is the best. That was one of the bad things about the time I spent living in the States, no Cadbury chocolate. I was in heaven when I could get my Cadbury again.
I would have to get it shipped in if I lived in the States :rotfl2:

I'm a Lindt chocolate girl ... especilly the Lindor truffles.
:cloud9: Me too DM I love the red ball ones oh and the white choc ones!!!! We also get the bars over here I love the creme brulee one trouble is it kinda disappears quick :rolleyes1

Low carb chocolate covered almonds. Mmmmm... :thumbsup2
:scared:

What a fun dis meet! I can't believe how many credits you had left! I hope you started eating!
Thanks Cherie it was fun and lets just say we went home with 0 credits left :rotfl2:

Loved the pics...I had to go back and look when I read SharkB8's comment!!
Can't you remember me taking it? :rotfl2:

I'm not sure I remember hearing about the "tree cone"...don't even know what one is, to be honest,
You know a pine cone, grows on a tree, fall off we pick them up the kids cover them in glitter and we hang them at christmas whether we like them or not :rotfl2:

We had a great time with all of you and I soooooo can't wait to do it again!! Michael had so much fun!!
Me too :yay:

Looking forward to hearing the sober account of our night too!!!
I spent all morning reading your's and T's versions to try and remember more, I may have been sober but my memory is shocking :sad2:

It was me, I think it starts :teacher: from the grass the cows eat and how much it rains which affects the milk produced. One of my clients goes to London once a month for work and is bringing me back some Flakes and Buttons :goodvibes .
Ooooh yummy, my favourite is just the bars of Dairy Milk, you know it's better value to buy the big bars :rolleyes1 Maybe also try a Twirl or milky bar :goodvibes
