Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

So I left you with us on our way back to CSR where we go for a lovely swim, we catch up with David who tells us all about his golf game and what a ummm fun time he had :rotfl2:

Suddenly we’re running late goodness knows where the time went so we do a quick dash through the showers and try and make ourselves pretty before catching a bus to MK.

When we arrive an almighty storm suddenly starts, the wind is howling and the rain is absolutely chucking it down, guess who for the first time in 12 days didn’t have the ponchos with her, yep we were stranded

We literally just stood there watching it pour down, every time we contemplated making a run for it the rain got even worse! The bus shelter was getting more and more crowded as buses were dropping guests off and we weren’t the only ones without ponchos!

Suddenly David spots T making her way through the crowds, she was with another lady who I assumed to be Kristi (sorul82? Or S’Late to her friends) I introduced myself and gave her a big old hug, she seemed as lovely in person as on the DIS and her accent was oh so cute and just as she said it would be she sounded just like Joy from my name is Earl :goodvibes

Now T had come prepared, yes it was due to a mislaid backpack by her DH, thanks Andy, but it meant she had 2 ponchos and an umbrella :yay: So Ellie ducked under T’s poncho T even made a hole for Ellie’s head :rotfl: whilst Jess and I shared the umbrella, poor old David just had to brave it.

We must have looked such a sight and we couldn’t stop laughing, we even had to take our shoes off as the water was just so deep, luckily that Floridian rain is nice and warm.

We made it to the monorail pretty damp but we’d made it in one piece :yay: It didn’t take long for the monorail to arrive and we were off. First stop was the Contemporary where David and the girls were dining with Mickey so they jumped off.

Quick Chef Mickey’s review……

They all had a great time, David said the food was good but not great but the characters is what you go for and they were good fun so that’s all that really matters! The other day I was reading a TR about CM’s and they had a photo of all the desserts and I said to Jess oooh did you try the MM oreo chocolate dessert, she replied what? Looked at the photo and would you believe they totally missed the whole dessert area :faint: Knowing my kids they were only focused on the ice-cream machine and didn’t see anything else :rotfl:

Right, now that’s where I leave you till December isn’t it????? :lmao:

Next bit here!

Thank Goodness for Tracy saving your family from complete drenchdom.

And there was that rain chucking down again. I just love that ... well, not you getting wet or anything. Just the word chucking.

Did the girls love the ice cream fountain? If they were happy with that then all is well! Of course, now you probably made them feel bad you mean mummy.

And, yes I do believe you will make us wait until December for the next update. Not really. I think you can squeeze in one update before then ... ::yes::

Oh boy it was raining HARD!

Chef Mickey's is all about the character interaction. The buffet food isn't bad though. It's as good as a buffet can be.

I love the pictures with Big Mick. :)

Those southern storms are something else, aren't they? Good thing T had extra!

We are going to CM this time around...never been there and really looking forward:thumbsup2

Now, about waiting until DECEMBER!?!?!?!?!?

Actually it should be Hooray for Andy! :lmao:

OMG! That ran was horrid and poor Ellie lost her flip flop - but with my lightening quick speed I was able to grab it before it was washed away.

I just realized that yes, we probably will be reading your version of Lapu night in December! :rotfl2:

PS tell David thanks for taking a decent picture of me - did he use a special slimming lens or it must be the angle. :confused3 :lmao:

Definitely hooray for Andy :yay:

:rotfl2: We must have been a sight, I took my flipflops off too :lmao:

All that joking of December and :faint: it's nearly here!!!! Don't tell but I'll be glad when this is finished!!!

All poncho T, all poncho!!!!

Love that saying "chucking it down"
It always seems to hold off raining until you need to get somewhere:confused3
we weren’t the only ones without ponchos!
:scared1:

We never did dinner only breakfasts. the interaction with characters is one of the best we have found. The breakfasts have been pretty good though.
Right, now that’s where I leave you till December isn’t it????? :lmao:
Not really:rotfl2: :rotfl2: , Since tomorrow is not a holiday for you, you should be able to crank out a few installents for us.....cant you???;)
I can hardly wait for the Lapu fest!!

Great pics too Jo

Great update! Things to remember for August:
--DO NOT share meals and snacks! Just eat it all! :rotfl2:
--Avoid pine trees
--Be the first one to volunteer to get life vests, bathing suits, pine cones, whatever so you don't have to babysit!
--bring extra candy for bus drivers--tempt them when you get on the bus in hopes of fast trip! :thumbsup2

Lucky me, I nearly took out half or more of the cheap WM ponchos I buy for DW trips. As it was we nearly needed all of them to just survive. I have never seen that much rain in my life. When we arrived all the retention ponds were bone dry and by the time we left 3 weeks plus later they were overflowing.

We have a habit of giving our slightly used ponchos to folks coming off the buses as we get on. Saves the bus from getting more wet inside, we are more comfortable and we have saved some other folks from drowning on their way to the parks.

You had a good perspective as there is really no other way to handle the situation. After all a 'bad' day at Disney beats a good day anywhere else as WE say!!

Was I at the pool party?? I went to two but cannot remember which ones. lol I was sober too!!

Slightly Goofy/Linda

The ONE time it rained while we were there, the poncho's were sitting on our bed back at the resort while we were making a mad dash through AK!

I love the picture of David with goofy!

JO!!!! That was just cruel, leaving us hanging like that! ;)

I'm glad the girls and David had fun at CM. Love that last pic of David and his new friend! :rotfl:

We love the WM ponchos cause they are so cheap and are folded up so small that they are easy to carry and they can be thrown away and not have to be folded back up. I are lazy. lol
