)Wow!! Extra Focker points for Jess for dream spotting!Well Jess comes back all excited saying she was given a certificate for speed trading
I would never do that!, so what does a good Mum do? Well send Ellie back in to see if she can get one too![]()
She doesnt get a certificate but she was lucky enough to get dream pinsNow I explained that one was for her and one to give away, she replies that she wants to keep them both
Again I explain, now she is an incredibly bright girl, top set for everything at school so what was so hard to understand? I went on about how standing right next to her ie Jess was someone she could share with. NO. OK Ellie you have to give one away and if not your sister then lets find someone else, eventually, literally it took about 5 minutes, she decided to let Jess have the other one, phew!!!
I went through this exact scenario with BA!! (she did agree to give one to her sis mainly cause she knew AE doesn't trade them much anymore)
note to self--avoid this putt-putt course. It sounds intimidating, and no clowns! The Fairways course isnt your normal mini golf, the holes look like miniature real golf holes, with green grass fairways, bunkers (although no sand anymore) and lots of humps and bumps.
And my hole in one hole!
Well, I linked over to your "other" TR...........and refrained from posting.........and then got upset cause they had pics of putt-putt.........and then found them here too...........and did you notice that there are 57 posts over there and 697 over here???![]()
So, acceptable British comments to a TR appear to be:![]()
"lovely"
"fab"
"brilliant"
Now that that's off my chest, I'm going back to read about the golf (mini-golf that occurred whilst you were at WDW that is!)And then I'll pick one of the above words as a comment!

The Fairways course isnt your normal mini golf, the holes look like miniature real golf holes, with green grass fairways, bunkers (although no sand anymore) and lots of humps and bumps. The holes are pretty interesting and I started off with a 2 whilst David got a 6But as always I didnt stay the winner. I did get a hole in one though on the fifteenth
Final scores were Ellie 77, Jess 73, Me 66 and David 64 so he only just beat me! Par for the course was 61 so we did OK.
The rate I'm going you may hear about Lapufest before Christmas![]()

I am Rosie, I've spent way too much time speaking with y'allTE you have to remember that Brits not exposed to the American warped sense of humor and infected by it who is English still has the "Stiff upper lip and correctness" Jo is thoroughly infected with us Yanks and the hidden warped British humor is out in full force!!![]()

And it doesn't get any better the older they get!In my fewer years of mum experience, they only understand what they WANT to understand!.
ThanksFab, Jo!.
2 things to try, get bookingI've never had a Dole Whip, either. Sigh. I will try CoP next time, though.
I loved your girls pics from BBB. Did they have a good time?? I just got accepted into the college program and that is where I'll be working. I'm not sure what store yet but I'm soooo excited. I've been doing hair, nails, make up forever for dance rectials etc. The pics looked great as well as the girls!
That is soooooo exciting, the girls had a great time, what a great job
LindaOver the whole trip we went on Buzz over 10 times, so I guess we like itMy family loves Buzz as well, especially Alek and Erich.
How cool that Jess and Ellie both got Dreams from the pin shop. Glad that Ellie gave her extra pin to Jess, after a little convincing that is.![]()
I like to pretend that I play golf. When I was in high school my dad bought me clubs and had me enrolled in golf lessons at the club in Virginia Beach. We played fairly often while living there but once the family moved back to Canada and I went to University the golf outings became non-existent. I wasn't all that good to begin with and now I am so out of practice. So I guess I will not be attempting the Fairways and will stick to Winter-Summerland.![]()
It was only a little dream but it was really sweet! You never know as you get older you may want to play again, I had a 14 year gap!!!!! And yes probably best to stick with winter-summerland
I came across your trip report and I've been reading since and I'm just caught up. I'm enjoying greatly! We stayed in CSR in August as well. I give you credit for staying out most of the day in the heat especially being from the UK and not being used to the heat. I have relatives in the UK and they say whenever it gets hot it makes the headlines in the newspaper. We took mid-day breaks every day because of the heat. I love your pictures your girls are adorable and you can see what a great time they are having. It's great to see how well you did with all your planning being able to get to the parks early and not have to wait on long lines and all the extras you were able to keep from the girls and surprise them, what a great way to spend their birthdays. Looking forward to more.Linda
And thankyou so much for your kind words, I think that was our only day we didn't go back for a pool break, it sure was hot
Actually I think it's the humidity that's the killer
What dates were you at CSR?
All caught up! Your girls looked so cute! After seeing that, even Em said she MIGHT consider BBB. But no princess dress!
Really? But definately no dress
I'm sure she'd have a great time
It took me ages to see what you were going on about, then I saw the girl in the background, T would have spotted that immediately
Ellie looks gorgeous, but....
What??? No what-not-to-wear comment???![]()

Better call DM--looks like a photo-fixin' emergency!
I've improved, but I think I might avoid WDW mini-golf shame. Is Rosie calling me a Yankee??![]()
And British humor IS apparently different--my mom loves all the British comedies and I miss the whole punch-line!
Better call DM--looks like a photo-fixin' emergency!
My boss is a big fan of British sit coms too and calls me for punch lines!!
I got my self in lots of trouble when I first came to the States with the lingo difference!!
