Scooter Bug Experience - Horrible - Do Not Recommend

Dug into Walker here last week and there were multiple complaints their scooters were in bad shape and general consensus agreed. Has something changed on that front over the last year?

ETA- hmm, google reviews are actually pretty good for Walker... and I called to confirm if your scooter needs replacement they'll replace it within 60 mins like I read on their website. I like that idea...

I can only give you my experience, but we've used Walker three times and had zero complaints.

I've never understood why, of all companies, Disney chose them as the one company that is allowed to leave scooters at Bell Services. Yeah, I'm sure that Scooter Bug pays for that privilege. but there isn't another company that performs better that wouldn't pay? I'm thinking that Buena Vista Scooters, for example, would have a huge boost in renting scooters since they have such restrictive times now. A guest could pick up/drop off their scooter any time, and BVS would only have to pick up/drop off once or twice a day. Scooter Bug seems to have the worst reputation-so why, Disney?

We all know why we ended up here- $. With the numerous reports of their issues it certainly wasn’t because they are just that awesome lol. They undoubtedly paid handsomely for the privilege. What we don’t know is if there are customer service/complaint performance metrics or not in the contract. I doubt Cheapek would have paid up for that. It will be interesting someday if another vendor discloses what exactly Disney was shopping around- or if it was a sweetheart only offered to a bff at ScooterBug deal…

Nice to hear! We decided this weekend we are going to try them for our late April trip. Gotta pick someone and with out off-site/Swolphin picks we don’t have to use ScooterBug for bell services!
