Think I remember reading that there was no Alamo Car place any longer by the port, yet when I booked it, it gave the address of 6211 N Atlantic Ave, Cape Canaveral.

Has anyone rented or returned a car there??

1) Don't place important stuff (laptops, medications, cameras, etc) in checked bags. Use your carryons.

2) Lock bags.

Number 1 is good advice, but you can't lock your bags anymore. If TSA wants to do a random search or sees anything on their x-ray machines, they will break the lock and your luggage might never close properly again.

We lock our bags all the time. We use the TSA approved locks. Never have a problem with broken locks, missing items, or bags falling open.

Only carry important stuff in your carry on bags. I would never put anything important/expensive in my checked bag, even if I had TSA approved locks. To each their own.
