Dear John Trovato,
You were on the June 24, 5-Night Disney Dream sailing, and we've found your camera. Please PM me if you see this.

So John left his name on his camera but no phone #/ e-mail to get in touch with him?

Why didn't you give it to DCL? I heard they send it to the owner even after they leave the ship.

It was in my mom's luggage when she was unpacking. How it got there we have no idea...

I hope that you will all DCL on Monday and let them knw you have it, not everyone who cruises is on the DIS.

You might also let Dreams Unlimited know. They had there podcast cruise on this sailing. Maybe he was part of that group.

Wow that is interesting.

Wonder how it got inside the luggage.

If I was to make a guess I would say the camera ended up in the bag while be unloaded by the porters. What probably happened was a porter noticed a camera had fallen from a bag and placed it back in the wrong one

Definitely call DCL. They can take your contact info and forward it to the owner to facilitate the owner getting in touch with you. The problem with posting the actual name on websites and forums is that now anyone on the internet can contact you claiming to be the person whose name you posted. You (and those who quoted your post) may want to consider removing the name. Use that information, in addition to a description of the camera, to validate the legitimacy of any claims that you receive for the camera.

I did a quick search of facebook for the person's name. There are several (not surprising). If you look at a couple of hte pics, maybe you can match up the right John via that route.

Kudos for doing the right thing and attempting to find the owner! There are others that would just be happy for 'their good fortune' and not think about the person who lost the item.
:goodvibes

1) Don't place important stuff (laptops, medications, cameras, etc) in checked bags. Use your carryons.

2) Lock bags.

:cutie:

Does the camera have photos of cast member Nelson?

There's some other information that I didn't post for that very reason. We'll definitely call DCL on Monday. It's a shame that he lost his camera in the first place.

I have seen the bags in the terminal come opened and they just place the stuff that has fallen out into the bags. Why they do that :confused3

All my jewelry was taken out of my bag last time, it was scattered around out luggage...... my Tiffany's necklace was laying on the ground. thankfully I got to it before anyone else.

Hope he finds his camera!!
