Does anyone know when the Festival of the Lion King will re-open?

This is our favorite attraction at AK.

According to allears.net, it closed on Jan 5th for a six month renovation.

It's supposed to be closed for 6 months. It will reopen in a new area behind Tusker House. TouringPlans is reporting opening on July 1st (based on current info) until more info comes directly from Disney.

I would love for this to be open on our trip the first week of June. I've been wondering about its re-opening date too. Such a wonderful show with many talented performers-- gives me chills!

I have heard very recently from a reliable source that the first week of June is the current target date for it to reopen. Things may change, however. I wish you lick.

First week of June opening for the show sounds good to me too. Saves me re-jigging my days to fit it in at the end of the trip. I hope they give us something solid to go on soon. It makes planning so much easier.

Crossing my fingers for early June! We just saw the stage show in Los Angeles and it was outstanding. But FOTLK was one of our favorite AK attractions the last time we hit WDW.

LOL. Thanks so much, mesaboy2! That's encouraging to hear. I'm glad now I have our AK day planned toward the end of the week to give us a slightly better chance if it does open that week.
